It was that time of year again, and Deon resembled a lost puppy waiting for his master.

Achille notices a change in his behavior as he prepares for the exam once more. Sure, Maria would do something today. It is also a good day to make things worse. If he wants to pluck whatever thorn is threatening to destroy his life, he must be fully prepared.

He stood beside him, gazing at him. Deon also looked at him as if he were about to hand him something.

"What?" he asked.

"You are not going to give me any?"

"Any what?" he inquired again.

Deon remained silent, gazing into space as if he had not said anything. Sometimes these guys feel creepy—even creepier than Clopeh Sekka.

He merely waited for Deon to move. That is when the latter hands him a bag of candy.

This seems familiar.

Achille pondered and stared at it for a long time. He knew Deon did not have a sweet tooth, so why was he carrying a bag of sweets?

He could not understand what this guy was saying.

Achille kept it in his pocket and entered the room of hallucinations once more.

He noticed Deon's gaze locked on him.

He heard him say, "You change. Both you and Roxanna."

Achille assumed that Deon had no other meaning for that. He ruthlessly responded, "I am not the same person who would run after you anymore."

Deon's eyes widened as he said this. His face broke into a mocking grin. However, it was not aimed at him. It was intended for himself. The self-loathing on his face was so real that it gave him chills.

Am I misunderstanding Deon's character or what?

He has previously read a rated novel called Roxanna or the Way to Protect the Female Lead's Brother. He knew Deon was a cruel and ruthless murderer who did not blink an eye when he was about to kill.

Achille chose to ignore Deon and proceeded to put an end to this nonsense.

The door to the room slammed shut. Achille began to walk through the maze. It was empty. He would just be walking in circles.

He was about to leave the room when he noticed an image of a hesitant Deon. Deon stood in front of a boy, his sword drawn and covered in blood.

The boy in front of him was Achille. The former Achille, rather.

He remained calm as he observed the illusion unfold. The Room of Hallucinations is said to respond to the illusion that the heart cherishes the most.

"But why am I seeing Achille giving Deon a bag of sweets?" he asked in complete disbelief.

Achille could be seen running after Deon, handing him a bag of candy, and even patting the ruthless bastard on the head.

Achile could not believe Deon's kindness as he watched him and Roxanna with the expression that older brothers usually had. He could not believe how Deon behaved like a normal brother to his siblings. Acting like a shield towards Achille. Acting like a doting brother who would do anything for his family.

Why? Just what happened before I possessed Achille?

"Why?"

The Achille in this hallucination asked.

"Are we not family?"

He stared at how Achile held his chest, tears streaming down his cheeks.
