In the quiet chill of the morning, Leo shivered as he stepped outside, the biting cold air wrapping around him like an icy blanket. He hadn’t expected the sudden drop in temperature and realized, with a sinking feeling, that he had forgotten his hoodie in the dorm. Pulling his arms around himself, he walked toward the school’s main building, trying to shake off the cold.

Xander, walking a few steps behind him, noticed Leo’s discomfort. Without a word, he shrugged off his own hoodie and walked up to Leo.

“Here,” Xander said, holding the hoodie out. His tone was still cold, as usual, but there was an undercurrent of something softer.

Leo looked at him, surprised. “Oh, you don’t have to—”

“Just take it. You’re freezing.” Xander's face didn’t betray much emotion, but there was a flicker of concern in his eyes.

Gratefully, Leo took the hoodie and slipped it over his head. The fabric was warm and smelled faintly of Xander’s cologne—a mix of pine and something deeper, muskier. He tugged at the sleeves, realizing just how oversized it was on him. The hem hung low, nearly to his thighs, and the sleeves bunched up at his wrists.

Xander stood there for a moment, his expression unreadable as he watched Leo adjust the hoodie. Something about how small Leo looked in his oversized clothes made his heart skip a beat. He had never thought of Leo like this before—cute, almost endearing. Xander turned his face slightly away, trying to hide the flush that crept up his neck and into his cheeks.

Leo, oblivious to Xander’s reaction, smiled gratefully. “Thanks, Xander. This is really warm.”

Xander just nodded, avoiding eye contact. “Whatever. Let’s just get to class.”

As they walked into the classroom together, the buzz of conversation stopped for a moment. Students glanced up, noticing the change in dynamic between the two dormmates. Even Carlos and Mia exchanged curious looks, but no one said anything.

Cassian, however, who was already seated, noticed immediately. He saw the hoodie draped around Leo and his eyes narrowed slightly. That wasn’t Leo’s hoodie—it was too big, too familiar. He recognized it instantly as one of Xander’s. The very same one he had seen Xander wear countless times. His fingers tightened around the edge of his desk as jealousy flared in his chest.

Leo sat down beside Xander, oblivious to the tension emanating from Cassian. Xander, still flustered, pulled out his notebook, focusing intently on anything other than Leo sitting next to him wearing his clothes.

Cassian’s eyes darted between the two of them, a growing sense of possessiveness bubbling up inside him. He had spent so much time watching Leo, studying him, wanting to be the one Leo turned to. And yet, here was Xander—getting closer to him, sharing something as personal as his clothes. It made Cassian’s stomach churn with anger.

He tried to keep his expression neutral as the class began, but his mind was racing. Over the next few days, he found it harder and harder to contain the dark emotions that twisted inside him whenever he saw Leo and Xander together. That hoodie had become a symbol of the bond forming between them, a bond Cassian wanted to break.

By the time the weekend arrived, Cassian couldn’t control himself anymore. The jealousy and anger had reached a boiling point. On Saturday, he left the school grounds under the guise of a simple errand, but instead, he made his way to a small town not far from the city.

In his true form as Casper, he unleashed his rage on the unsuspecting town. His wings, a terrifying blend of angelic white feathers and fiery phoenix plumes, spread wide as he soared over the streets. The townspeople panicked as buildings crumbled beneath the power of his flames, and the sky darkened from the smoke. He showed no mercy, his mind clouded with thoughts of Leo—Leo with Xander, Leo laughing in Xander’s hoodie, Leo smiling at him instead of Cassian.
