Three days had passed since the terrifying announcement about Casper, and the entire school was still on edge. The air around Pretoria High felt heavy with tension, and most students had either thrown themselves into their training or remained inside, trying to avoid any further stress. For Leo, Carlos, and Mia, the walls of the school were starting to feel like a cage.

"Come on, just one night. We need this!" Carlos insisted as the three of them huddled in a quiet corner of the dormitory. "We can’t let this place drive us crazy."

"We shouldn’t," Mia said hesitantly, though the sparkle in her eyes told Leo she was intrigued by the idea.

Leo knew it was a terrible idea, sneaking out to a bar when the school was in lockdown, but a part of him was tempted. The constant worry about Casper, the pressure of training, and the never-ending tension with Xander made the idea of just *escaping* for a few hours more and more appealing.

"Just one night," Leo agreed, his voice low. "We’ll go, have a few drinks, and then come right back."

It didn’t take long for the three of them to sneak out. They slipped through the back gates of the school, evading the usual patrols, and found themselves at a dimly lit bar just on the outskirts of the city. The atmosphere inside was warm and inviting, a stark contrast to the cold dread that had lingered in the halls of Pretoria High.

Before long, the drinks were flowing, and any worry they had faded into the haze of laughter and the hum of conversation around them. Mia was giggling at Carlos’s exaggerated stories, and Leo found himself laughing along, his mind pleasantly fuzzy from the alcohol.

Hours passed in a blur, and by the time they decided to head back to the dorms, the three of them were stumbling. The once quiet walk through the dark streets was now filled with Carlos singing loudly, Mia trying to shush him while giggling, and Leo focusing all his energy on walking in a straight line.

When Leo finally reached his room, he fumbled with the doorknob, pushing it open with more force than necessary. His head was spinning, but all he could think about was collapsing onto his bed and hoping the room would stop moving.

But when he stepped inside, he stopped dead in his tracks.

Xander was there—shirtless, his back to Leo as he rummaged through his drawers. The dim light from the window cast shadows over his defined muscles, his skin glistening slightly as if he had just gotten out of the shower. Leo’s breath caught in his throat, and for a moment, he just stood there, frozen.

Xander hadn’t noticed him yet. Leo wasn’t sure if it was the alcohol or something else entirely, but he couldn’t tear his eyes away. There was something about seeing Xander like this—unguarded, vulnerable—that made his heart race in a way he didn’t quite understand.

Before Leo could process what he was doing, he stumbled further into the room, the door clicking shut behind him. Xander turned at the sound, his sharp gaze landing on Leo. For a moment, there was silence, and then something shifted in Xander’s expression. His usual cold, distant demeanor melted away, replaced by something darker… and more intense.

"You’re drunk," Xander said, his voice low as he took a step toward Leo.

Leo’s head spun, but not from the alcohol this time. "Maybe a little," he admitted, his voice coming out softer than he intended.

Xander’s eyes narrowed slightly, as if assessing him. Then, without a word, he closed the distance between them. Leo could feel the heat radiating from Xander’s body, his breath catching as Xander’s hand gently touched his chin, tilting his head up. The room seemed to shrink around them, the air thick with tension.

Before Leo could say anything, Xander’s lips were on his, firm and demanding. The kiss was sudden, and it sent a shock through Leo’s body. His hands instinctively grabbed onto Xander’s arms, feeling the strength beneath his skin. Xander didn’t stop there. His lips moved with an urgency that sent Leo’s heart racing, every breath quick and shallow.

Xander pulled back just enough to look into Leo’s eyes, his gaze filled with something dark and unreadable. "You don’t know what you’re doing," he murmured, his voice low, but he didn’t move away.

"I know enough," Leo whispered back, his voice shaky but determined. He wasn’t sure where this sudden boldness was coming from, but he didn’t want it to stop. He didn’t want *Xander* to stop.

Xander’s lips were on him again, more insistent this time. His hands slid down to Leo’s neck, pulling him closer as their bodies pressed together. Leo’s mind was a haze of sensation—the heat of Xander’s skin against his, the taste of his lips, the way his body responded to every touch.

Xander moved with an intensity that left Leo breathless. His lips trailed down Leo’s jaw, leaving soft kisses and the occasional nip, sending a shiver through Leo’s body. When Xander bit down gently on the sensitive skin just below Leo’s ear, Leo let out a soft gasp, his fingers tightening on Xander’s shoulders.

Xander smirked against Leo’s skin before pulling back, his eyes dark with a hunger Leo had never seen before. He leaned in again, his lips brushing against Leo’s neck as he whispered, "You’re going to regret this tomorrow."

But Leo wasn’t thinking about tomorrow. He wasn’t thinking about anything other than the feel of Xander’s lips, the way his teeth grazed against his skin, leaving small marks—reminders of what had just happened.

Leo tilted his head back, allowing Xander better access as he felt the warmth of Xander’s breath against his skin. Xander’s hands were firm on Leo’s hips, holding him in place as his lips moved down, leaving a trail of love bites along Leo’s neck and collarbone.

For what felt like an eternity, the world disappeared, leaving only the two of them in the room. The kiss deepened again, their movements slower now, more deliberate. Leo was lost in the moment, his heart pounding in his chest.

But just as quickly as it had started, Xander pulled back, his breathing heavy. His gaze lingered on Leo for a long moment before he turned away, the familiar coldness returning to his expression. He grabbed a shirt from his drawer and pulled it on, his back to Leo once again.

"You should go to bed," Xander said, his voice flat. "Before you do something you’ll really regret."

Leo stood there for a moment, still dazed, the heat from their encounter still coursing through him. But there was something in Xander’s tone, something that told Leo this wasn’t over. Not by a long shot.

Without another word, Leo stumbled to his bed, his mind racing. He wasn’t sure what had just happened—why it had happened. But as he lay there, staring at the ceiling, all he could think about was the feel of Xander’s lips against his and the unmistakable sense that things between them had just changed in a way neither of them could undo.
