•''Out.''
The grand asshole is back again. His car screeches to a halt, and before I can even process what's happening, he turns to me with that condescending tone that I've grown all too familiar with.
''Excuse me?''
"Your ride ends here, wife. From this point on, I am your boss, and you're my employee. I'm sure it doesn't look good for us to arrive together. Now, out."
My mouth gapes open. "I have to walk at least 15 minutes from here?!"
"Not my problem, Ms Sorve."
I can't help the scoff that escapes my lips, but I bite back any retorts. Arguing with this man only ever ends in frustration, and my head has been in a permanent state of overheat ever since I moved in with him.
To prevent the impending self-destruction, I have decided to start yoga with Jina. Although she doesn't exactly acknowledge my existence most days, and I've pretty much forced myself into her personal time, but hey, I would say we're bonding... sort of.
Jina snitched on me to our yoga instructor about me being constantly in fight mode. So my yoga instructor has adviced me to avoid conflicts, to take the high road, and to be the bigger person in stressful situations. And this is my hour one of trying exactly that.
Safe to say, I'm not going to survive the whole day without chewing this man's head off by lunchtime.
''Yes, sir. As you wish.'' I paste on the most plastic, professional smile I can manage. Grabbing my bag, I step out of the car with exaggerated grace. Just before he drives off, I lean down to the window. "Oh, Mr. Kim, as your well-wisher, I must advise you to drink your coffee carefully today. It might contain harmful substances that could be detrimental to your health."
His lips twitch, and for a split second, I swear there's a hint of a smile. But that is most likely the fragment of my imagination.
''Oh and don't be late. We have a meeting in ten minutes with an important client.'' He throws back casually before speeding off, leaving me standing there in shock.
This fucking asshole!
Calm, Y/n. Calm. Happy thoughts.
Jina better be proud of me for controlling myself.
With that final thought, I clutch my bag and start running toward the company, silently cursing my so-called husband under my breath the entire way.

''Oops, sorry! I am in!'' I rush to the elevator quickly, not caring who's inside already. I check my watch on my wrist and see that I have exactly two minutes left till the meeting starts.
Take that, Kim Taehyung!
Just as I settle into my small victory, a deep voice behind me shatters my moment.
"Excuse me. Please take the next elevator."
I turn, my heart dropping a little at the sight of a massive man in a sharp suit, standing there with an air of dominance. His expression is firm, but polite. For a moment, I freeze. He looks like a bodyguard of some sort. My eyes shift, and that's when I notice the older woman standing next to him. She's dressed in designer clothes from head to toe, radiating an air of authority that practically oozes out of her perfectly tailored outfit. Her posture is regal, like someone who expects people to move out of her way without a word. She regards me with a faint, dismissive glance, as though my presence barely registers.
