CLOVE POV

Clove Kentwell woke up with a bucketful of ice water to her face. "Wake up!" shouted her older brother, Connor. "Go away," she groaned, throwing her pillow on top of her face. "It's the first day of school, you idiot!" sighed Connor. "You're going to be late," he said, and left the room with that.

Clove pulled herself to her feet and walked over to her closet to pick out an outfit. Being herself, she chose a simple black hoodie over black jeans, and an emerald green headband to top it off.

A horn honked outside her house. Clove looked out the window to see a silver Volvo waiting outside. After grabbing her school bag, Clove ran out the door. "Bye, Connor! Bye Kenzie!(@clatosgames  's oc)" she yelled. Throwing open the door of the front seat, she climbed in.

"You'll break the door if you treat it that roughly," whined Marvel, her best friend since they were two years old. Their parents worked together as lawyers, so they had spent lots of time together. "I wouldn't want to hurt your precious baby," said Clove, smirking.

Marvel nodded and patted the wheel. "You stand unchallenged," he said. "Now let's go pick up Annie and Peeta." Clove grinned and put her feet up on the front part of the car. "Get those dirty feet off my car!" screeched Marvel.

Shaking her head, Clove said, "Annie must be waiting," instead. She didn't remove her feet, and Marvel eventually gave up. They arrived at Annie's house to find a waving Alice. Annie clambered in the back seat and grinned. "How are two of my best friends?" she asked.

"Fine, except for the fact that Clover has her feet on my car," said Marvel. "Just clean it! I'm good," said Clove. Annie laughed. "It's not that unusual that Clove doesn't listen to what we say," she said. "True," agreed Marvel. Clove snorted in indignation.

Peeta greeted them with fresh toast when they pulled up at his house. "Hi, ready for another school year?" he asked. "Ready as I'll ever be," said Clove, accepting a piece of toast. "Not really," mumbled Annie. "Why not?" asked Peeta. "I just don't want to deal with the Populars again, that's all."

The Populars were a group of students that were the utmost top of everything. Grades, relationships, looks, they got it all. Cashmere Sanders was the queen bee of Panem High, with her brother Gloss Sanders, their cousin Glimmer Belcourt, school quarterback Cato Hadley, Enobaria Golding, and martial legend Brutus Gunn. Gloss was  a junior, Enobaria, and Brutus were seniors, and Cato, Cashmere, and Glimmer were sophomores.

For no reason in particular, they seemed to hate Clove and her friends. When they passed by, one of them would always stick their foot out or play tricks on them, and Clove, Marvel, Annie, and Peeta would become victims. The taunting had decreased a bit ever since swimming legend of Panem High, Finnick Odair had joined their group.

They spent the rest of the ten minutes on the way to school chatting and teasing each other. When they arrived, the four slowly walked inside and found their lockers and got their schedules.

"Schedule!" cried Annie. She put the four schedules together and closely examined them. "Clove, you have P.E, Art, and Literature with me. Peeta, we have nothing together. Marvel, you have science with me."

"Clove and Marvel have every single class except Art together. Peeta and Marvel have Literature, Biology, Math, Theater together. Peeta and Clove have Science, English, and World History together, and the rest I'm too lazy to tell, so you guys figure that out on your own," said Annie.

They all grinned. Clove high-fived Marvel. "Homeroom is Mr. Abernathy?!" cried Clove. "Guess we'll be using homeroom as playtime," said Marvel, smirking. "You're lucky, we have Ms. Trinket," said Peeta.

"Two bucks on them dating before the end of this year," said Annie. "First day, and you're already shipping teachers together?" asked Clove, shaking her head. Suddenly, she felt a tap on her head. She turned around to see nothing. Then something jumped on top of her.

"Clover!" came a familiar voice, belonging to none other than Finnick Odair. Clove pushed him off and grinned. "Miss me, Odair?" she asked. "Johanna's coming. Trying to be friendly so I don't get pranked as much as I did last year," explained Finnick.

"Hey Marvel, Peeta, Annie," he greeted. Annie grabbed his schedule. "Just checking," she mumbled. Johanna Mason came up to them two minutes after. "Hey," she said casually, slapping Marvel's back. "Ow!" complained Marvel. Johanna slyly removed her hand. "Had a nice vacation?" she asked.

"Of course, you were with us nearly all summer," said Clove. Then Marvel noticed something weird. "My shirt!" he shrieked. "Why does it feel wet?!" He checked his back, then gasped. "Johanna Mason, explain to me why my shirt has a gigantic pink stain on the back right now," he demanded.

"Maybe you bought it that way?" asked Johanna innocently. Marvel scowled. "Do you have a jacket?" he asked. "Ya think? It's autumn, nearly everybody wears long sleeves and no jackets," sighed Clove. "Maybe you should ask Cashmere. She always wears a jacket, I wouldn't be surprised if she was cutting herself," said Johanna.

"Stop it," whined Marvel. "Fine," said Johanna. "This year, I heard a new girl's coming. I suggest we recruit her before the Popluars do and give them a taste of their medicine," said Clove. "Not bad," nodded Finnick. Annie frowned. "I'm out. What if the new girl's exactly Popular material? Shallow, fashion-crazy, and you know...," she trailed off.

"If she is, let's observe her before we let her in," said Peeta. The others all nodded their agreement. "She's coming in the middle of the semester according to my sources," said Clove. "What sources?" asked Finnick curiously. "You know," said Clove. A light dawned in Finnick's eyes. Finally. Clove rolled her eyes.

"You went to Foxface?" asked Peeta incredulously. "What the hell did you exchange for that information?" questioned Marvel. "What do you think?" answered Clove defensively. "Something embarrassing, by the looks of it," guessed Finnick.

"Anyway, let's get to class," said Clove, grabbing Annie and Johanna each by the sleeves and she took off, the two girls struggling to keep up. "I have homeroom with Ms. Trinket, remember?" groaned Annie. "Now I have to walk again."

Johanna grinned. "I have Abernathy too, bye Annie," she said with a smirk, and walked into the classroom. "Consider the seating charts," mumbled Mr. Abernathy as the girls walked by him.

AHHH! I updated TSA today! I think I have an updating schedule planned out(sort of). I hope you liked this chapter, and next chapter's going to be in Queen Bee Cashmere's POV. I know that in the books, Cashmere is technically older than Gloss, but who cares? This is a fanfic.

I promise that I'll include Odesta and Glarvel in later chapters! THEY ARE A MUST
