Six months later...
-That's cheating, Daniel! exclaimed Masachi, pointing an accusing finger at his friend.
-What are you talking about? snapped the little boy. How is it my fault if you don't run fast enough?
-Haha laughed Hana beside me. Your sister really is a sore loser, isn't she, Ko?
The latter put his face in his hands, he didn't want to admit it.
-I can be the wolf if you like,' I suggested. I don't mind.
What's the background to this outing? I'll explain.
After taking my mum's number, Masachi wanted to meet up. One thing led to another and I introduced him to my friends.
Everyone got on pretty well except Daniel and Masachi. No one knew why, but they had hated each other from the first moment they saw each other. Ever since, they'd been at each other's throats. And today, Frill Shiranui, Hana's aunt, was kind enough to take us to the park. She was sitting on a bench next to us, staring at us with a sharp gaze. Like an eagle watching its prey.
-No need, Ai. I'll do it,' offered Yuto.
There was a little silence and then we all shouted (except Yuto):
-Noooo! Don't do it!
My big brother gasped.
-Huh?!? But why?
-You're bigger than us so you run faster than us,' Masachi explained condescendingly.
-Yes, it's annoying when you get caught running too fast! Hana grumbled.
-But... I just wanted to help!
So much fuss over a simple game of wolf...
-I'm going to do it, so let's get it over with! Ko exclaimed.
-Yes, thank you! I said, relieved.
He nodded and went to stand in the middle of the playing field and started counting to 10.
Yuto came over to me with a tear in his eye.
-Aiii! I wanted to sort things out too!
I knew what he meant straight away, I knew him well.
I sighed and put on the happiest face I could.
-Yes, I know what he meant. Thanks big brother! ❤️
He smiled a satisfied smile.
Meanwhile, Ko had finished counting and had rushed towards Hana.
Hana ran as fast as she could.
Daniel couldn't help but laugh at her gently as she caught up with the 'wolf'.
Suddenly, to everyone's surprise, Ko made a wonderful turn and ran straight towards Daniel.
The latter, too surprised, had no time to react and was hit.
-Ha! that's karma! Masachi smiled. Well done big brother!
Daniel was about to retort violently but Frill had the presence of mind to intervene.
-Hana, Masachi, will you come and help me set up the picnic.
The two girls nodded and went off to help the actress.
That left me, Yuto, Ko and Daniel.
But Daniel dragged my older brother away to show him how to do the headstand properly.
I didn't know why, but Daniel had a huge admiration for Yuto. Maybe it was because he was the oldest?
I felt slightly guilty that my brother had to stay with my friends instead of his, but Dad had insisted.
There was a long silence between Ko and me. When it's just the two of us, talking is difficult. I didn't know why, it felt like at any moment I could say something ridiculous to him.
It was Ko who finally broke the awkward mood by asking me:
-Are you all right? You're not too stressed about the premiere on Saturday?
To be honest, no. Thanks to my experiences in my past life, I'd acquired a certain resistance to stress. It must be habit. Anyway, I couldn't admit all that to Yuto. It'll be my last lie, I promise.
-Yes, it will. I'm a bit worried that stage fright will make me forget what I'm supposed to say or stammer.
-Don't worry about that! Ko exclaimed. You've done a lot of work and there are breathing exercises. I'll teach you if you like.
-Yes, I'd like that.
It won't do me any good, but I didn't want to offend Ko.
The little boy's face lit up.
-Cool! I'll teach them to you at the next rehearsal.
I nodded.
Suddenly, Ko seemed to have a brilliant idea.
-Ai! Wait for me here! he shouted before running off.
-Erm... OK? I replied, slightly taken aback.
I really couldn't keep up with the kids sometimes.
My friend came back a few minutes later. He was holding a cornflower in his right hand.
-And there it was! he exclaimed, putting the little flower in my hair. It matches your eyes!
Ooooh! It's so cute! What a sweet kid! (NDA: Says the 3-year-old).
-Thanks a lot, Ko! I exclaimed, flashing him my best smile.
Ko turned his head away.
-You're welcome.
Beside us, Yuto was staring at him with a murderous stare.
But before he could say anything, Frill's voice rang out:
-Kids! The picnic's ready!
Yuto stood between Ko and me, glaring at my friend.
What was it with Aqua at the end? Frankly, I don't get it.
Still, it was a beautiful day.

Hello !
Sorry for the low quality of the chapter 😅, I hope you enjoyed it anyway.
I've got something to announce.
I want to write a new Oshi No Ko story.
The story would take place long before Aqua and Ruby were born. The plot of Oshi No Ko would be the consequence of my OC's actions towards Ai and Hikaru Kamiki. However, it would be in a different style to this story, the chapters would be between 1000 and 1600 words long and it would be much more descriptive.
What do you think 🤔 ?
Thanks ❤️
Elaine
