Why is my bed so uncomfortable? And... is that birds chirping? Did I forget to close the window? Is that why I'm cold and feeling a light breeze?

Ugh, why are the birds so noisy? I can't go back to sleep, and it's freezing.

As I slowly opened my eyes, confusion washed over me. I wasn't in my room. I was outside. I distinctly remember going to bed last night, so how on earth did I end up... here? Am I in a forest? No, wait. Why does everything look so... animated? How did I not notice this earlier? I must be dreaming, right? Maybe I drank too much last night.

I closed my eyes tightly, hoping that when I opened them again, everything would return to normal. But when I peeked, the world was still animated. Panic slowly crept in. I pinched myself, desperate to wake up from what had to be a strange dream, only to yelp in pain. My hands-they looked animated too. And... smaller.

I stumbled toward a river nearby, hoping to catch my reflection and make sense of what was happening. The sight that greeted me made my stomach drop. Staring back at me was a thirteen-year-old version of myself. The same familiar e/c orbs, smooth s/c skin, and h/c hair-only much younger and in this bizarre animated style.

What the hell happened? Why do I look like my younger self? And why am I animated? Where's my 18-year-old self?

The animation style looked eerily familiar, though. My mind raced, trying to place it. Then it hit me-Naruto. No way... I can't be...

A wave of disbelief and excitement washed over me. Every fan girl's dream, right? I get to meet my favorite characters! But as soon as the thrill hit, reality settled in. Knowing myself... I'd probably mess up the entire plot before I even got through the second episode.

Still, I had no other choice. I sighed and stared into the distance. "Welp, time to find the Village Hidden in the Leaves. That shouldn't be too hard... right?"

Well turns out I was wrong.

I have no idea where I was going. Seriously, how does someone just stumble upon the Village Hidden in the Leaves? In the show, everyone makes it look so easy. I walked aimlessly, listening to the birds and the rustling of the wind through the trees. Everything was sharper, brighter-even the air felt cleaner. It was so peaceful, but that only made me more nervous.

I couldn't shake the feeling that this was real, no matter how many times I tried to convince myself otherwise. If it was a dream, shouldn't I have woken up by now?

After what felt like an eternity of wandering, I sighed and stopped. "Alright, I'm lost," I admitted out loud. "In a freaking anime world."
