Thursday - December 19th
7:00am
Zayn's alarm clock went off causing him to wake up and roll over to switch it off.
He groaned as he pulled himself out of bed, looking over at the other side of his bed with an empty hearted frown.
That was y/n's side of the bed for whenever she used to sleep over. Not anymore though because they have been broken up two weeks.
As Zayn was deep in his thoughts, the realisation struck him that he had an awful headache and he was feeling slightly congested.
He groaned to himself taking his phone off charge and slowly walking into the bathroom and switching on the shower.
The cold bathroom tiles sent a shiver through his body as he undressed and stepped into the shower as he relaxed under the warm water.
He tiredly washed himself and eventually when the water began to run cold he slowly stepped out.
He tried his hair and his body with a towel that he found in a pile of washing in the corner of his bathroom.
Before he left the bathroom he did his business and as he was finishing up and let out a chesty cough. He groaned to himself as he dragged himself over to the sink to brush his teeth.
He let out another chesty cough followed by a few more and he then blew his nose.
Leaving the bathroom he sneezed harshly into his elbow which sent a shooting pain through his head.
He groaned again and sniffled wondering if he should attend his classes today or not.
He decided since there was only 2 more days left he should go.
With that he slipped on a pair of sweatpants and a blue Nike hoodie, put on his north face puffer jacket and through his bag over his shoulder, leaving his student house and stepping out into the cold December air.
He coughed a few more times and decided to himself to stop at a store on the short walk to campus and get himself a cup on coffee and some ibuprofen for his head.
He also picked himself up a bottle of water. Leaving the shop he slipped 2 tablets into his mouth, knocking them back with a sip of water and then he drank his coffee while continuing his walk to college.
The weather was in the minuses and that probably wasn't helping him to feel any better.
He sniffled desperately realising that his nose was running and he needed a tissue but stupidly didn't bring any with him.
He had to hold back a few sneezes until he could get himself a tissue and as soon as he reached the inside of his college he made him way to the bathroom.
He immediately grabbed a tissue and blew his nose which was followed by a few loud sneezes.
He instantly wondered to himself why he bothered to come in. He hadn't felt this rough leaving the house. He put it down to the cold air.
He left the bathroom and attended his first class. Y/N also attended this first lecture the same as him and also his third and fourth class too.
He sat down in his usual spot still sipping his coffee. He tried to relax a bit. He looked at the empty seat next to him and his eyes quickly scanned the room looking for y/n who used to sit beside him.
He seen her sitting at the other side of the room with a few other girls from the college who he couldn't say he knew the names of.
She must have recently made friends with them.
He must have stared too long because she also looked over at him and they both accidentally made eye contact both of them looking away immediately.
Zayn leaned back in his chair and slipped his cold hands into the pockets of his sweatpants.
He immediately took one of his hands back out as he coughed miserably into his elbow.
