"Hey, didn't I tell you to sit still?"
"But you're taking forever!"
Jiwon scoffed and shook her head at her boyfriend before she placed the pad of her thumb against the corner of his eye to remove the splotch of eye shadow. It had been the result of Jungwon being too impatient and moving his head.
"It's been 15 minutes- and you took like an hour!" Jiwon accused, while pointing towards her own face which was practically caked with makeup– but looked surprisingly good.
"Just hurry," Jungwon whined impatiently and started drumming on her thighs that rested on either side of him as she was sitting on his lap.
"You said you wanted to look like a princess," she mumbled, focusing hard on drawing the perfect eyeliner.
"I didn't think it took that long to become a princess..." Jungwon muttered, unconsciously smiling at the sight of his girlfriend. He couldn't help but find her extremely cute when she was so focused– even with all the makeup.
"Cinderella didn't become a princess in one night- hey what song is that?" Jiwon asked one she noticed he wasn't just drumming the rhythm of drums but a melody.
"Oh- just one of the songs for our album," he replied, watching as Jiwon's face lit up before continuing, "it's called "Your Eyes Only". We were recording all day, so it's stuck in my head."
"Sing some for me," Jiwon said and smiled, actually never having heard him sing in real life.
"Right now?" Jungwon asked with raised eyebrows, feeling a bit flustered about the sudden request. However Jiwon only hummed and showed him a smile that he couldn't say no to.
"Okay um..." He trailed off and chuckled sheepishly, his hand rubbing the back of his neck. Alas he caved in and with closed eyes, he began singing the melody to the chorus of the song.
Momentarily, Jiwon's hand fell a bit as she listened to him singing, taking the opportunity to study his features while he concentrated on singing the song.
His voice was nothing less than the one of an angel, to Jiwon. He sang so effortlessly but with so much emotion, even when it was the simplest love song. Every word went straight through her ear and to her heart.
For a moment, Jiwon's heart started speeding when his eyelids fluttered open and their eyes met. A smile formed on Jungwon's lips as he continued to sing, his gaze locked onto Jiwon's.
He was practically serenading her. Not that she had any problem with that.
"Our sugar talk," Jungwon finished with a bright smile on his lips, their faces now inches away from each other.
