The sun is high in the sky as the Dauntless initiates stand on a rooftop, aiming at distant targets with their guns. The wind whips around them, making the task even more difficult. Ollie hands shaking slightly, narrows her eyes and focuses on the target ahead. She pulls the trigger. Bang. The bullet misses, hitting the wall behind.

From beside her, Will begins to speak. "Statistically speaking, you should have hit the target at least once by now. Even by accident." She glances over, annoyed but amused. Will is beside her, a grin tugging at the corners of his mouth as he reloads his gun. Ollie shakes her head. "Thanks for the tip." She says sarcastically. Wil shrugs playfully. "Hey, I'm just saying. The odds aren't in your favor if you're still missing this far in." Ollie rolls her eyes but cracks a smile despite herself. She refocuses, her determination renewed as she raises her gun again, this time feeling the pressure even more, not wanting to prove Will right.

He watches her for a second before taking his own shot, hitting his target with ease. "See? It's all in the wrist." Ollie curses under her breath. "Yeah, because that's the problem." She takes a deep breath, steadies herself, and fires again. This time, the bullet hits closer to the target, though still off the mark. Will smiles. "Progress! See? All you needed was a little friendly advice." Ollie rolls her eyes at him with a smile. "If you call that friendly."

As the scene unfolded on the screen, the Great Hall buzzed with a mix of shock and disbelief. Guns — Muggle weapons — were completely foreign to the students and parents, who watched Ollie struggle with her aim. For many, it was jarring to see her in such a different world, where brute skill and survival were paramount.

At the staff table, McGonagall's face tightened, clearly disapproving of the weapons and the danger surrounding Ollie. Meanwhile, Lily sat frozen in her seat, her hands clutching the edge of the table, her eyes glued to the screen. Seeing her daughter in such a harsh and unfamiliar environment, struggling to hit a target with a gun, sent a wave of anxiety through her. She wanted nothing more than to pull Ollie out of that dangerous world.

James, though equally concerned, felt a swell of pride as Ollie refocused, determination in her eyes despite her frustrations. "That's my girl," he muttered under his breath, though the tension in his voice was clear. He could tell Ollie was putting on a brave face, just like he would have.

Whispers filled the hall as students exchanged glances, some amused by Will's teasing and Ollie's sarcastic response. Harry, watching his twin with newfound awe, leaned forward, unable to tear his eyes away from her.

But it was Molly Weasley who spoke for many of the parents. "Guns? Why do they have guns?" she whispered harshly to Arthur, her hands fidgeting anxiously.

Lily finally tore her gaze from the screen, her heart aching as she whispered to James, "How could she have gone through all of this, and we never knew?"

Later that day the Dauntless initiates are running through the streets, their boots pounding against the concrete, led by Four. The air is filled with the sounds of their breathless steps, a mixture of excitement and exhaustion driving them forward. They weave through the city's maze-like streets, leaping over obstacles, the wind pushing against them.

Four leads them with ease, his face calm and focused. Suddenly, he slows down and stops near a narrow alley. The initiates stumble to a halt behind him, catching their breath. Four approaches a figure standing nearby — another Dauntless member, watching something intently. "Hey. What have you got?" The Dauntless member glances toward the alley, "Factionless. Not doing anything."

Ollie leans forward, peeking past Four to see what they're talking about. In the alley, a group of ragged figures — factionless — sit huddled together, their faces worn with despair. A baby cries softly, and the sound of bottles clinking together echoes through the narrow passage. Peter leans over to her with a smirk nodding towards the factionless, "Check it out, Stiff. That's gonna be your new family." She watches the broken, hollow faces of the factionless, the ones who had nowhere to belong. The baby's cries feel haunting, the clinking bottles like a warning. "Go say hi." Ollie just glares at Peter when Four steps in stopping Peter from saying anything else. "That's enough." He motions for the group to keep moving, breaking the tense moment. As they fall back into a run, Ollie's mind lingers on the harsh truth she's just seen — what happens if she doesn't make it.

A chorus of soft sighs and giggles broke out among the girls in the Great Hall. A group of Hufflepuffs leaned in, exchanging glances and whispering excitedly. "Did you see the way Four stepped in?" one of them gushed, her eyes shining. "He's so protective of Ollie," another added, practically swooning. Over at the Ravenclaw table, a few girls blushed, clearly impressed by Four's quiet strength. "He's not just brave, he's kind," someone murmured. The way Four had stopped Peter, shielding Ollie without a word, sent ripples of admiration through the hall. The moment was small, but it spoke volumes, and it wasn't lost on anyone watching how Four's calm yet firm actions had left an undeniable impression.
