Four's team huddles under the dim light of the streetlamps, their whispers blending into the hum of the city. "Where did Eric's team go?" Christina asks, glancing around warily. "They must have gone to the end," Will replies, squinting into the distance. "All right, lights off," Four commands, his voice steady. "Gather around. Come on." The group closes in, tension thick in the air. "Okay," Christina starts, "what's your strategy?"
"We could hide the flag well enough so they can't find it," Will suggests. "Let's send out a team to scout their location, see if we can find their flag," Al chimes in. Ezra crosses his arms. "I say we blitz them. Just—"
"Yeah, that's the best way to lose quickly," Al interrupts, earning a glare from Ezra. "Let's make them come to us," another boy suggests. "End this quickly," Ezra insists, "they won't expect it." Will shakes his head. "We don't even know where they are." Christina raises her hand to quiet them. "Okay, we split into two groups: defense and offense."
"Who put you in charge?" Ezra snaps. "Someone has to make a decision," Christina retorts, crossing her arms. The team begins bickering, voices overlapping as tensions rise. Four steps back slightly, scanning the group before his gaze shifts to the side.
As the others continue arguing, Ollie quietly makes her way to the Ferris wheel, determination etched on her face. She grabs hold of the metal ladder and begins her ascent, the rusted structure groaning under her weight. "You're not gonna jump, are you?" Four's voice calls out from below, startling her. Ollie glances down, narrowing her eyes. "No, I'm just trying to get a good vantage point."
"Good thinking," Four says, already climbing after her. "You don't have to come with me," Ollie retorts, her voice firm. Four shrugs, his tone nonchalant. "You should go easy. You took a beating." Ollie hesitates, gripping the railing a little tighter. "I'm surprised you noticed," she says, her voice laced with a hint of bitterness. "I saw you leave during the fight."
Hogwarts students would gasp collectively, caught between admiration for Ollie's bold determination and intrigue over the tension-filled exchange with Four, whispering excitedly about the undeniable chemistry crackling between them.
Four's expression softens slightly as he responds, his tone quieter. "Yeah, well... it's not something I wanted to watch." The wind picks up as they climb higher, and Ollie's foot slips on a rung. She gasps, but before she can react, Four's hand shoots out, steadying her by the waist. "Hey!" Four says, his voice sharp with concern. "You good?"
"I'm fine," Ollie replies, regaining her footing. A small smirk tugs at her lips. "Look at you being all caring." Four rolls his eyes, adjusting his grip on the ladder. "Don't get used to it," he mutters, though a faint smile crosses his lips. "This is high enough," Four says a moment later, pausing to survey the view. "No," Ollie counters, glancing upward. "We need to go higher." Four arches a brow, giving her an incredulous look. "We need to go higher? Do you have a death wish or something?" Ollie pauses, looking down at him with a teasing smirk. "You're afraid of heights."
"Everyone's afraid of something," Four replies, casting a quick glance at the group below. Ollie's smirk deepens as she continues to climb. "I didn't think you were afraid of anything." Four raised an eyebrow, his voice laced with disbelief, "Are you even human, Ollie, for going this high?"
"Come on," she says over her shoulder, motioning for him to keep up. Four groans, staring up at Ollie with a mixture of frustration and disbelief, silently questioning why he was scaling a Ferris wheel at all — and what this girl was doing to him. After a few more grueling minutes, they finally reach a good vantage point. Ollie stops and gazes out over the city, her breath hitching as the dazzling lights stretch endlessly before her. "There," Ollie says, pointing into the distance. Four follows her gaze, spotting it: a faint glimmer of Eric's team's flag, barely visible in the shadows. A triumphant grin spreads across Ollie's face. Four chuckles softly. "Good eye. Let's go win this."
