It was now two days before the dance. There was a bit more chatter about it as people were saying 'who's going to the dance with her' or 'what are you wearing'.
Molly was in this school library reading a book about romance whilst being sat on her own. A boy made his way to her and gave her a smile.
"Hey. What ya reading?" he asked.
"Oh its nothing. Can I help you?" Molly said nervously.
"Yeah. Yeah you can. Wanna go to the dance with me?" this boy queried.
"Umm sure I guess. What's the deal though? Like is this a dare or something?"
"No. Nah. Just you know... your cute, I'm hot... why not?"
Molly sat there in a sort of startled way as to say 'why is this boy asking me when I don't even talk to him'.
The boy left her alone and Molly carried on reading her romance novel. As she put down her book, she checked her phone. As she opened up Instagram, she saw a post which had this boy, who had asked her to the dance, in it. He was friends with Noah. Obviously he's going to be a player. She rolled her eyes and put her phone bag in her black, floral back pack.
When Molly was leaving the library she saw this handsome looking boy hanging with Noah and his other friends in the corridor and as this boy who had asked her to the dance waved at her, Molly rolled her eyes yet again and walked off. She didn't want to go to the dance with him now she knows who he hangs with. She didn't feel bad though. She was going to ditch him either way.
Aimee was trying to show off her skills in the gymnasium with the other cheerleaders. The football team had a big game coming up and as for the cheerleaders, they wanted to train really hard on their moves for the introduction to this game. The cheerleaders formed a pyramid type shape with them all standing up on top of each other and Aimee was at the top. She intended to do a back flip off of all the others and land, standing straight, on the floor. She did so without hesitation and landed perfectly. After training, Aimee and Sophie were talking about the dance.
"So Aimee, who are you going with?" requested Sophie.
"I'm not sure yet. I want to go with Noah, he's so fine. But like he's 'busy' with other girls"
"Look Aimee, you are the prettiest girl I know. Any guy would be lucky enough to go with you. Just ask him. There's no way he's going to say no."
"You're right. Who would say no to me. I mean look at me"
It was the day before the dance and still the school was silent about it. The dance is on a Saturday night so the school won't be open during the day. Anyway, Aimee was still trying to get to Noah to ask him to the dance. She was worried that she'd be alone. She was searching through the halls, in classes me could possibly be in and any other places he might hang out but no sign of him anywhere. Some might say its stalking but to Aimee, she knew what she was doing.
As for Sophie, she had no one to go with. She didn't want anyone. Sophie enjoyed the idea of going alone and just be able to be with her best friend. The only thing Sophie was worried about was Aimee finding her date.
Tom had his date with Sandra, Molly had her date with that boy she's not keen on, Ella didn't need anyone and Noah, well he doesn't have anyone either, yet.
That night Aimee was at home in her pink painted bed room, with posters of popstars she likes, makeup on her desk, a mirror and other bits and pieces, her bed has a white throw over on top with white banners and about four pillows and cushions. She sat nervously on her bed, on her phone waiting for a response from Noah. She had asked him to the dance! She was biting her sparkly, pink acrylic nails, staring at her screen. He finally responded which felt like a lifetime of waiting.
