Mr and Mrs Sencen - Part 2

Chapter Three

Sophie's POV

Honestly, I didn't know how Keefe was going to react. Whether he was going to have a nervous breakdown, cry, or ask if I was joking. Turns out it was none of these.

"I'm pregnant." I say nervously. His eyes go wide before he looks at me then my stomach then my face again. He freezes in shock.

Suddenly Silveny and Greyfall swoop down from the air and land in the meadow. Greyfall checks on his babies, and nuzzles them with his nose. Silveny however, heavily pregnant, immediately goes to me. 

SOPHIE? KEEFE OKAY?

Yeah, were just sorting through some stuff

Silveny however, being the Mama Bear she is, plucks the memories from my mind.

BABY! BABY! 

Of course, Wynn and Luna hear this, and join in.

BABY! BABY! BABY! BABY! BABY! BABY! 

"Um, did you just tell the alicorns? Because they're really excited." Keefe asks, giving Silveny a pat. 

"I didn't mean to. Silveny just took the memories." I glare at her, but she just whinnies. 

"Do you want a baby? Huh? Huh, Mama Glitter Butt?" He was still shocked, I guess. Keefe looks at me. 

"There is no reason for the worry you're hurtling at me right now. I was just, kind of not expecting that. But it's good. It's great. I'm going to be a dad! A DAD!"

Keefe picks me up and spins me in the air. "Sophie!!!!! You're going to be a mother!" He shouts happily.

I laugh and laugh and laugh. Keefe puts me down, looking really happy. 

"Why am I feeling worry coming from you?" He asks. 

"Well..." I say, not sure how to put it. "We still have to tell Grady." Keefe's face falls, but smiles again when he looks at my stomach. Then his signature grin comes back. 

"Well, good luck with that! I will be here picking up sparkly poo." He says. I laugh. 

"Nope! You're coming with me. Now! I'll tell Jurek." I send a quick transmission to Jurek, explaining that we had to go. I didn't tell him why though.

I grab my old home crystal, still hanging around my neck. I think it's good to have, in case of emergencies. Also, I can't bring myself to get rid of it. Twisting the faucet, a light path shines down. Grabbing Keefe, I step inside, so I get whisked away by the light.

"Mum! Dad!" I shout. Me and Keefe had just arrived at Havenfield, and (thankfully) it wasn't feeding time for the animals. Edaline and Grady must be inside. 

I walk inside to see Grady rushing downstairs to us. 

"What's going on? Are you okay? What happened?" His husky voice was higher than usual, and his eyes were wide with fear.

"Dad. Dad. We are fine. Sorry. I didn't mean to sound so harsh. We are fine."

"Oh. Okay. How are you? What brings you to our humble abode?" He says. I laugh.

"Good! More than good actually. Um, we wanted to talk to you." I say. His eyes narrow. 

"Should I be concerned?" He asks. 

"Nope!" Keefe answers, and with that Grady invites us in. 

"Come with me, Edaline is having a bath, so she might not be down for a while. We can go to the sitting room." He leads us to the rooms with a bunch of fancy chairs. The sitting room hasn't been used in a while, as Grady and Edaline don't go in there unless something important is happening; like a meeting with the Council or something like that. Or maybe when your daughter is about to break the news that she's pregnant. 

We sit down on the lush velvet couches. 

"So. What's so important?" He asks. 

"Who said it's important?" I counter. 

"Well, for one we are in the sitting room, and two, you have plucked at least 5 of your eyelashes since you have gotten here." 

"Yeah well...." I don't continue. 

"Sophie. I'm your father. I might not be living with you, but I'm always here. Speaking about me not living with you, I didn't realise how much help you give us around the rehab center. I keep forgetting to feed Verdi. Not that she stays quiet about it."

"Well, our future child can help you out once it's over." Keefe says very fast. 

"Yeah, I guess so... WAIT WHAT!!!!" Grady stands up out of his chair. "You're kidding!!!" 

"No?" I say cautiously. 

"This is amazing! Sophie! Sophie!" I raise my eyebrows. "And Keefe" He admits. 

We all laugh. Grady couldn't believe it, and kept checking that it was true. 

"EDA!!!! COME DOWN HAIR!" Grady shouts. 

Edaline walks through the doorway, her hair still wet. "What's wrong Grady?" 

"Sophie! Tell her!" Grady insists. 

"Oh. She already knows." I say bluntly. 

"SHE DOES?" Keefe and Grady say at the same time.

"Yeah." I continue, surprised they were talking in sync. 

"BEFORE ME?" Keefe and Grady are still doing it. It is uncanny. 

"YES! She told me! If that makes sense. I didn't know, until she told me, and explained how she knew. With the stomach thing. And the belly-button. Not that it matters. Okay? Anyway.... I'm pregnant!"

"That made total sense." Keefe says. THen he winks at me.

"Good." I counter. He grins. "Okay. We just came to tell you that your going to be Grandad Grady. Ohhhh.... That is SOOOOO cute! Grandad Grady!!! Okay! We are going now!"

I pull Keefe out of the house and we light leap home.
