Yukio clung to his mother, their embrace tight and desperate, a final moment of solace amidst the encroaching chaos. The ground beneath them rumbled with an ominous growl, the sound growing louder and more violent. The snow in the distance churned like a living beast, its monstrous roar echoing through the air.

"I love you too, Mom," Yukio's voice cracked, choked with tears as he buried his face into her shoulder. The warmth of her body was a fleeting comfort against the encroaching cold.

Calista's eyes, wide with a mix of fear and unwavering love, were locked onto Yukio's. Her hands trembled as she cupped his face gently. "Yukio, you need to go! Run, now!"

Her voice was nearly drowned out by the roar of the avalanche, her desperation clear despite the cacophony. "But-Mom-"

"GO!" she screamed, her voice breaking with emotion. "You have to survive. Save yourself!"

Every fiber of Yukio's being screamed to stay, to defy this nightmare. He turned away, the last image of his mother etched into his mind-her eyes filled with sorrow, her hand reaching out as if to pull him back. No, this can't be happening. Not like this. I need to stay with her.

Tears streaked down his face as he sprinted into the chaos. The roar of the avalanche was deafening, a monstrous tide of snow and ice crashing down with relentless fury. Buildings shattered under the weight, their remains swept away in the white maelstrom. The screams of the people were swallowed by the storm, their cries abruptly silenced as they were overtaken by the avalanche.

Calista, helpless and resolute, felt the cold seep into her bones. She glanced back, her gaze trailing Yukio's retreating form. He's running. He's running away from me. Please, don't let him look back.

The avalanche's roar intensified, a thunderous, unstoppable force. Snow and debris cascaded down, obliterating everything in their path. Calista's heart pounded in her chest as she felt the snow swirling around her, pressing down like a suffocating blanket. This is it. It's coming. I'm losing him. I'm losing everything.

Yukio's heart shattered as he glanced back one final time. The swirling white cloud had nearly engulfed his mother, her silhouette now faint and distorted. Their eyes met in a last, heart-wrenching connection. Calista's face was a mask of profound sadness, her smile a fragile beacon in the storm. Mom, no. Please, don't go. Stay with me.

Calista felt the snow enveloping her, the cold biting sharply into her skin. Her limbs grew heavy, the snow pressing down, dragging her into the icy abyss.

The familiar streets of Spadia were disappearing, swallowed by the relentless tide. "It's so cold. I'm losing feeling. Yukio, I hope you're safe."

The storm's intensity was overwhelming. Calista's breaths came in ragged gasps as the snow piled higher, consuming her. The white cloud was suffocating, the cold an almost unbearable weight.

She struggled to stay upright, but the snow pressed down, dragging her deeper into the abyss. I'm so cold. It's so dark. Yukio, I hope you remember me.

Yukio's vision blurred as he continued to run, the avalanche's force consuming everything. His mother's figure vanished into the swirling white, her face the last thing he saw before the storm swallowed her entirely.

She's gone. She's really gone.

Desperation surged through Yukio as he sprinted towards what he hoped was an escape. Relief flickered as he spotted a passageway, but the roar of the avalanche was now an all-consuming force. "I need to get out! It's coming too fast!"

His frantic thoughts raced: I have to keep moving. I can't stop. It's too close. But the ground beneath him was treacherous, covered in blood and melted ice. He slipped, crashing hard onto the icy, blood-streaked pavement. The cold, combined with the fear, was overwhelming. No! Get up! I can't stop!
