3RD POV
Y/N GOJO

The morning after Suguru Geto's funeral was shrouded in a muted stillness. The guild hall felt emptier than usual, the usual rowdy voices quieted by the lingering sadness. The sky outside was grey, the air heavy as if the world itself was mourning alongside them.

Y/n Gojo stirred from his slumber, the warm presence of Mirajane beside him offering a small comfort amid the haze of sorrow. Her silver hair spilled over the pillow like moonlight, and Y/n found himself momentarily lost in the peacefulness of her sleeping face. But the weight of the previous day hung heavy on him.

Suguru. His best friend. A traitor. Dead.

Y/n let out a long, silent breath, careful not to wake Mira as he sat up in bed. His thoughts swirled—memories of the man Suguru had once been, mixed with the bitter betrayal of what he'd become. It was hard to reconcile the two, and the funeral had only stirred up emotions he preferred to bury.

Mirajane stirred beside him, her eyes fluttering open slowly. She reached out, her hand brushing his arm.

Mira: "You okay?"

Y/n gave her a small, reassuring smile.

Y/n: "Yeah."

He lied, leaning down to kiss her forehead gently.

Y/n: "Just thinking."

Mira's gaze softened as she sat up, the morning light catching the sadness in her own eyes. She'd known Suguru too, once—a time before things got complicated, before darkness twisted the man who had once been a part of their family. She didn't press Y/n further, sensing the weight of the day ahead.

Mira: "You should get going. I'll catch up with you at the guild."

Y/n nodded, slipping out of bed and heading to the small washroom to get ready for the day. As the cold water hit his face, he tried to clear his mind of the heaviness. But it was harder than usual. Death had a way of sticking with you.

After pulling on his usual clothes, he caught sight of his reflection in the mirror, his blindfold resting around his neck for now. He could still see the ghost of Suguru in his mind—the man he had called his best friend, the man he had lost long before yesterday.

But today, he had to push forward. For himself. For the guild.

FairyTail Guild

When Y/n arrived at the guildhall, it was as if the grief had seeped into every corner of the place. Members sat around quietly, their usual lively energy dulled by the events of the previous day. At one of the tables, Wendy sat alone, her face buried in her arms, her small body trembling as she fought back tears. Charle hovered beside her, her eyes filled with concern.

Wendy had taken Suguru's death the hardest. She had always been sensitive, and the idea that someone she once cared for had fallen so far weighed heavily on her. Her small frame shook with each sob, her heart too heavy for someone so young.

Y/n approached quietly, kneeling beside her. He placed a gentle hand on her head, the way he had done during the funeral.

Y/n: "Wendy, I know it hurts. But this wasn't your fault. You couldn't have saved him."

Wendy looked up, her eyes red and swollen.

Wendy:  "But... I should have tried harder. I... I should have done something. If I would've noticed how he was when we first met...then maybe he..."

Y/n shook his head, offering her a kind smile.

Y/n: "Suguru made his choices. And it wasn't your job to save him from himself. Sometimes, no matter how much we want to help, we can't stop people from going down the path they choose."
