As I finally exit the school, I walked by a taco truck, and lord and behold, she was there, the woman with glasses. "Hey there Sailor!" She yelled at me. "It's been a while Rubi." I said to her. "How's the Navy life treating ya?" She asked me. "Could be better, just stopped by the old town to see how it's been." I replied back. "What for exactly? I thought you didn't want to come back here." She said to me. "That was me being edgy back then" I told her. "Yea, yea, anyways, you owe me remember?" As she said this, my face went for a shock. What do I owe her? Do I owe her money? What the fuck did I do back then? She sighed and then said, "You don't remember do you?" I shake my head the moment she said that. "You owe me flowers and a story" she said while looking disappointedly. "Anyways before we continue that conversation, are you gonna order something?" "Yeah, just get me anything to be honest" I said to her. "Will do" I sat down and quickly started to search where the nearest flower shop is. I felt a presence, she was behind me. "A little Too Late, don't you think?" She asked me with her arms crossed. I nodded my head in response. She sat down at my table, "Tell me the real reason you're here." Her saying that surprised me. She never took the initiative before. "Y'know, when you left it felt like, something was missing y'know? For a bit, it felt like time stopped, then it resumed, now eight years has passed. Eight years has passed and I still find it silly the way you asked me out." "I'm going to ask you out at 6:30." She says as mimicking me. I started to laugh. "That was pretty stupid not going to lie, but it worked still. " I said. "Well I gotta go" I said to her as I got up from the table. "Can you stay a little longer? At least when your food is finally done." I checked what time it is, I then sat back down. "Y'know the flowers you gave me back then, those were the first ever flowers a boy has ever given me." She said, she moved closer to me, she then placed her head on top of my shoulder. "Just let me rest for a bit, okay?" She yawned and closed her eyes. "I've been working non-stop for the past weekend, at least let m-" and then she begin snoring. I pulled out my phone and took a picture. She then started to drool all over my jacket. Must've been really tired. This feels like science class again. We used to sit next to each other back then and she'd normally sleep in class. I enjoy it when she does, it has a certain comfort to it. Can't really describe and she'd probably call me a pervert if I ever say that out loud. I then close my eyes as well. I then open my eyes as quickly as possible and started to run away as soon as I heard her dad was moving towards us.
