He could see the terror behind her eyes as he pulled out his wand and placed it under her chin. "I'm lacking for patience tonight, so start talking."
"I...I..."
"Yes?" He asked, drawing out the s of his question.
She dug her fingers harder into the tree. "I don't know."
He laughed maliciously. "You don't know?"
"I was," she paused. "Curious, I guess."
Lowering his wand quickly, he turned away from her. He let out a frustrated grumble before turning back and putting his wand in his back pocket. "Do you have any idea how dangerous that could have been? How stupid are you?"
Her hazel eyes quivered as he stepped closer.
"What was all of that about Professor Dumbledore and Harry?" She asked, her voice shaking with every word.
"Nothing you need to concern yourself with." He brought his hand up to run along the delicate line of her jaw. Her skin felt like silk under his fingers. "But truthfully, I should kill you for what you heard tonight."
Her body tensed from his touch, making a sly grin creep onto his lips. "You won't." She said breathlessly
"And why's that?"
"Because... If you wanted me dead. You wouldn't have gone through the trouble of hiding me."
As much as he would have liked to refute that, she wasn't wrong. He knew if he hadn't put her under that charm, Pansy alone would have killed her on the spot. Why does it matter?
He removed his hand from her face and turned away, bringing his hands up to run through his curls. Irritation was bubbling up within him as he gripped the strands and whipped back around. Her hands left the tree as he watched her body relax. Her fair skin was shining in the moonlight as he strolled back towards her.
"You're reckless," He spatted, smashing his palm into the tree beside her head.
"I'm reckless?" She asked, with a fire burning in her eyes. "You're the one out here having a late night meeting about... well, to be frank, killing our headmaster!"
"And you were fucking stupid and followed me!"
"I'm not stupid. Stop saying that," she shouted and pushed against his chest.
He chuckled and stumbled back. "It seems like you're not scared anymore," he chuckled and stumbled back.
"Who said I was?"
He rushed her and pinned her wrists to the tree. "Oh, please." He brought his lips close to her neck but didn't let them make contact. "I could see it in your eyes. You were terrified."
He let his breath wash over her delicate skin as he ran his finger down the front of her jumper. Her chest rose quickly as a cold mist escaped her lips.
