The moment I checked the email, a knowing thought crossed my mind-this could only be my little wife's doing. She must be missing me so much that she actually went ahead and filed a case against me.

"That's what you get for marrying a lawyer," my subconscious teased.

Without wasting a moment, I booked the first available flight. Fortunately, luck was on my side. As soon as I reached home, I didn't hesitate. I gathered my wife in my arms, holding her tightly as though I could somehow make up for all the time we'd spent apart.

I had missed her terribly-her warmth, the softness of her skin, the scent of ripe strawberries that clung to her. I pressed a tender kiss to her forehead, her skin warm beneath my lips. When I pulled back, her eyes sparkled with a joy she didn't need to voice.

"I missed you so much," I whispered, our gazes locked.

Her eyes mirrored my own emotions, though words remained unspoken. Her lips curved into that radiant smile I adored, one that could light up any room and, more importantly, my heart. I found myself fighting the urge to close the distance and claim those tempting lips, but I held back, not wanting to rush the moment.

"Dinner," she said with a small pout, her expression so sweet it made my heart clench.

This woman knew exactly what drove me wild, and she was using it to her advantage. I couldn't help but smile at her.

"I'll be back after I change," I replied, still grinning.

She nodded, her eyes following me as I made my way to the washroom. Everything in our home had her touch, her scent, her essence. It felt like stepping into her embrace all over again. After a quick shower and changing into something comfortable, I headed toward the dining room.

There she was, setting the table with an elaborate spread, each dish arranged with care. No doubt, she was as skilled in the kitchen as she was in her legal practice. She loved to cook, and I... I loved eating what she made. The way her face lit up when I appeared made the food all the more irresistible.

I raised an eyebrow as I sat down. "Yeh sab mere liye hai?"

She laughed, her smile teasing. "Nahi apke bagal mein ek jin hai uske liye bhi hai," she quipped, her eyes twinkling with mischief.

I chuckled, loving how her playful side always managed to surprise me. She served the food, and as I took my first bite, I couldn't help but tease her.

"You didn't need to file a case to get my attention, you know. If you'd just told me how much you missed me, I would've come running.”
