After lunch, the Aarons and Nikki headed out Christmas shopping. As they walked through the brightly lit mall, dodging shoppers and weaving past holiday decorations, T and Z lifted Nikki off her feet and swung her back and forth, to her delight. Nikki's laughter rang out through the mall, a beacon of joy. Fellow shoppers smiled and laughed at the sight of the three having so much fun together, making their shopping trip an even merrier one.
The three walked down the crowded, winter-themed mall. People everywhere, Christmas music flooding the PA system. The kids were running around laughing, couples were together, parents were dragging their kids into the toy store, and teens were on dates.
As they wandered from store to store, their faces brightened with each item they added to their shopping bags. With each new gift they found, the bag full of gifts grew heavier and heavier, and their faces beamed with pride at the perfect present they had found for their loved ones.
T nudged Z and whispered, "Hey, I think we should drop Nikki off at the play area so we can buy her presents without her seeing them."
"Okay man, good idea," Z whispered back.
Z watched as T led Nikki over to the play area near the food court. T leaned down to hug her goodbye before turning and walking back to Z.
"She's so excited. It's adorable." T said smiling.
"I know, right?" Z said, grinning a bit.
T nodded. "Okay, so you have the list of toys Nikki wants, right?" he asked.
Z patted his jacket pocket and pulled out Nikki's Christmas list, which was filled with items she had noted.. "Got it right here, man."

"Good. Then let's go!" T chirped grabbing Z's hand and taking him over to the toy store.
The two entered the toy store, instantly greeted by displays overflowing with toys of every kind. They walk around the aisles, grabbing the items on Nikki's list one by one.
While Z grabbed an American Girl Doll from the very top shelf, T stared at a stuffed panda toy. He immediately grabbed it and put it in the basket they were both sharing. Z didn't even notice what T added to the basket and walked ahead, still looking for the other items on the list.
T chuckled as he quietly added the panda toy to the basket. He then caught up to Z, who was still searching for the last item on the list.
They continued shopping until they got everything on the list. Z looked through the items in the basket, ensuring they had acquired everything.
"Did we get everything?" T asked.
Z nodded. "Yup! All of them!"
"Great!"
The two finished grabbing everything and headed to the cash register, where the cashier scanned their items, adding up the total cost.
Z reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out his wallet but T reached for it. "Nope, I'm paying for everything!" he said with a smirk.
Z rolled his eyes. "T, I have money too," he argued but T brushed off his words and gave the cashier the money with a smile.
They left the toy store with bags full of Nikki's Christmas presents. T was still carrying the panda toy he bought. He swung the bags in his free hand as they walked.
"Man, did you see the look on Nikki's face?" T said, grinning ear to ear.
"Yeah," Z chuckled. "She was so excited. Christmas is like her favorite holiday, you know?"
T nodded, smiling a wider smile as if remembering something fond. "I remember her first Christmas. She was so tiny and fragile. She loved her first Christmas so much, kept smiling the entire time." T paused for a moment, then continued. "Man, she's growing up. I can't believe she's already 8. Time's flying by too fast."
"Yeah," Z replied. "It seems like just yesterday she was a tiny baby."
T smiled, nodding. His eyes sparkled with love for his sister. "I know. I remember when our parents brought her home from the hospital. She was so small, and she fell asleep almost immediately. Dad and Mom fell in love with her instantly."
Z nodded, smiling a bit. T talking about Nikki was so heartwarming. The way he looked while talking about his sister was so sweet.
