They stood in front of the kitchen, eyes widening in shock. There stood the pale figure of Iris, staring down at the shattered glass beneath her feet, her trembling hands cupping her mouth.

"I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to knock it over... I just felt dizzy," she stammered, her voice shaky and breathless.

Before anyone could react, her legs gave out, and she collapsed to her knees, the sharp glass piercing her skin.

"Iris!" Minho shouted, pushing Riki aside as he rushed to her.

He scooped her up quickly, placing her gently on the dining chair, his eyes darting to the blood slowly trickling from her knee.

"I'm okay," she whispered weakly, her voice barely audible.

Silence hung heavy in the air. Minho hurried to get the first-aid kit, returning quickly and kneeling in front of Iris. With careful hands, he cleaned and bandaged her wound.

"Thank you, Minho," she whispered, a faint smile crossing her face as she wiped away the tears from her cheeks.

Once again, the room fell quiet. The two boys sat down on either side of Iris, tension swirling around them.

Riki broke the silence, his voice soft and slow. "Did something happen, Iris? You seem... shaken up." He gently placed a hand on her back, trying to comfort her.

"Yes," Iris said quietly, her eyes shifting toward Minho, who watched her intently, searching for answers. "I found out about something."

"What is it?" Minho leaned in closer, sensing the weight behind her hesitation.

Her voice faltered, her breathing uneven as she struggled to speak.

"Minho..." she began, her eyes brimming with fresh tears. "My- my parents..." Her voice broke, trembling as the words caught in her throat. She choked on the truth, a painful sob escaping her.
