CHAPTER EIGHT
THE ROAD AHEAD

"That concludes our assessment of Mashirao Ojiro. Any final considerations to note for monitoring purposes?"

A silent wave of shaking heads rippled across the UA board meeting room. The first day of school loomed closer, bringing with it the next generation of heroes, ready to begin their training.

"Good. Last one."

The UA faculty—mainly consisting of pro-hero teachers—sat around a 'U'-shaped table, which was cluttered with mountains of paperwork detailing each student's abilities and Quirks. They had been reviewing for the past three hours analyzing these students. Disposable cups of coffees and snack wrappers littered around on the corners of their table.

A sense of anticipation filled the room as they moved on to the next name on the list.

A quiet click from the remote advanced the projector to the next slide. Your name—[Name] [L/N]—flashed across the screen, followed by a summary of your Quirk. The brief description was compiled partly from the entrance exam's demographic survey, while derived official documents like medical and government records provided more technical details.

For a moment, the room went quiet. No one spoke immediately, perhaps reflecting on the unique nature of your ability.

The homeroom teacher of Class 1-A; Shota Aizawa, begins the discussion. "[Name] [L/N]. Quirk: Knight. She can materialize various weapons during combat, primarily swords, but with different properties."

"Interesting," Midnight, the R-Rated Hero, remarks as she leans forward in her seat slightly. "So it's not just about summoning weapons. There's a level of customization here that we haven't seen before in other weapon-based Quirks."

"Exactly," Power Loader chimed in, flipping through the paperwork in front of him. "She can create weapons, but they're not just ordinary. The materialization involves detailed molecular manipulation, allowing for different properties in the weapons she produces."

Cementoss, his curiosity piqued, leaned forward slightly, taking this chance to ask a question. "Would she be required to study university-level chemistry to fully understand the molecular components of her weapons in order to craft them? Or is it more instinctive than that?"

Ectoplasm nodded in agreement, straightening up in his seat. He cleared his throat before speaking. "I was thinking along the same lines, Eraserhead," he said, turning to Aizawa. "Her ability reminds me another student of yours; Momo Yaoyorozu's Creation Quirk. But instead of using lipids to create any non-living object, what are her biological resources? What does she rely on to construct these weapons?"

Aizawa considered their questions for a moment before responding, his voice calm and measured.

"Good question. It's similar in some ways, but the differences are key. Unlike Yaoyorozu, who needs a deep understanding of the object's structure, [L/N]'s Quirk seems to be more intuitive. The molecular manipulation happens internally without her needing to fully comprehend the chemistry. As for the biological resources—" He paused, tapping the desk. "—my guess is she's drawing from stored materials in her body. Carbon, proteins, perhaps other elements she accumulates and rearranges on a molecular level. It's more about her body acting like a forge with her mind requiring mental blueprints."

Midnight smiled. "Well that kind of specialization could be an advantage and quite versatile. Imagine switching from a broadsword to a flaming blade mid-fight, or going from heavy weapons to something more agile. She could catch opponents off guard with the sheer adaptability."
