—KEN'S POV—
It's been a week since I've laid my hands on that book, and it's also been a week of torment.

I don't know why my body felt heavy and I had no motivation to do anything, I even took a 'sick' leave at work. Ever since I've hid that book in my garage it's like it took my will to live or something.

But one thing's for sure, It's been much much more peaceful without it. My life went back to it's good old boring pace, although I have to admit— I kind of miss the thrill that it brought to my everyday life.

I lay in bed, staring out of my bedroom window contemplating if I should find out what goes on with the book or just return it back to where I found it.
The latter one eventually brushes off of my mind and before I knew it, I was off to my garage looking for that book.

I eventually found it and brought it back to my room, I sat down preparing myself to what I was about to witness when I open the book once again.

But before I could even get my hand close to it, Kuro jumped onto my lap making me flinch. I swear, this cat must have a plan to execute me one of these days.

I petted him and proceeded to open the book.

To my surprise, I found a page full of.... Questions?

—PAU'S POV—
I think it's been a week or so of me checking the book everyday for updates if it has something written on it again, but to my dismay, it had nothing.

In a span of one week, I've went through what people call the 'seven stages of grief' medyo OA I know. I had doubts, I was in denial, I had so much questions.

The least I could say is that I'm befuddled.

Today is Monday, I brought the book with me to school. It's our vacant time so I figured I'd do something with it.

I thought about writing in the book, I was thinking about what would happen if I do so.

I grabbed a pen and settled in my chair with the book in hand, I opened it and wrote my questions.

"what is this book?"

"magic ba 'to?"

"Ito na ba 'yung sign na binibigay ni Lord?"

"is this haunted?"

I wrote my heart out and filled a page full of questions. Once I was satisfied, I whispered to it.

"sana naman sagutin mo 'ko, book"

And then I closed it and put it back inside my bag.

—KEN'S POV—
I stared at the questions and analyzed each one. The questions seemed so specific, as if it was written by someone.

I vaguely remember seeing nothing on the pages before I put it away, well that's least of my worries for now.

An idea suddenly popped into my head, what if I write on the book? Would it dissappear like the other writings before?

The idea thrilled me a lot, I quickly took a pen and wrote on the book, answering the questions. I didn't even think about how those questions got there and who's it from, it's like my body went on autopilot mode.

After answering a few, I saw a question that made me pause for a bit.

"I'm confused, it this book real? Is there a person behind all this?"

Huh? What is this? The book couldn't have wrote this by itself, right? Hindi 'to totoo.

The question seemed so real, like the person who wrote it was just as confused as I was. I had doubts of whether I should answer, I don't even know if this book is safe. All it ever brought to me was confusion, chaos and now this.

But I figured, ano ba'ng mawawala kung sasagutin ko? I think I've seen its full potential anyway.

So I wrote back.

"naguguluhan din ako, I don't even know if I'm responding to a person. Well whatever do what you want, book."

—???'s POV—

"So they found a way to communicate? I knew these two were clever, it just proves that they're compatible with eachother."

"I have made these books especially just for them."

"I can see that Pablo is hopeful, I can feel his emotions even lightyears away. Ken on the other hand, not so much."

"a pessimistic and an optimistic, what a great combination!"

"I'm excited to see what they have in store for eachother."

"I will watch them live the fate I created for them. The same fate that never worked for me, I will save their love no matter what."

"you may ask 'why?' you'll know very soon."

"well enough of me, let's go back to those two."

—PAU'S POV—
I didn't know that I fell asleep on my chair, when I woke up no one was around. I checked my phone and it was already late in the afternoon, maybe our last professor didn't show up and they all went home without waking me up.

Napag tripan nanaman si olbap, Hays.

I grabbed my bag and walked out, there were a few staffs roaming around the campus but other than that there was barely anyone in sight.

I called Josh to ask where he was, since sabay kami umuuwi non.

"yess?"

"nasa'n ka?" I asked.

"nasa school malamang!"

"ha? Saan?"

"hoy nasa room lang ako, ikaw nasa'n ka ba? Hinahanap ka na dito tungaw" Josh said.

"huh? Ano?"

"Ewan ko sa'yo, nag cutting ka 'noh?" tanong n'ya na may halong tawa.

"bumalik ka na rito, wala akong pamasahe mamaya pauwi"

"..." I stayed silent.

"h-hindi ba kanina pa uwian?" I mumbled to him on the phone.

"pinagsasabi mo d'yan dre? Hindi pa uwian, bumalik ka na dito sa room"

I hung up and quickly ran back to my classroom.

There was no one in there.
