—Ken's POV—"1994? Eh 2094 na ngayon...a hundred years ago..? Is this his birth date? And Paulo, is that his name? S'ya ba 'yung mukhang naka drawing dito kanina?"
I frantically asked myself questions as I skimmed through every page of the book, baka may mga iba pang clues na naka sulat. Finding nothing else, I opened my phone and took a picture of the date and name written on it.
Baka kasi mawala ulit, atleast pag kwinento ko 'to kay Stell and Jah may proof ako. After I took a photo of it, I closed the book. I let it sit there for a while before touching it again, I opened it thinking na magbabago ulit 'yung nasa loob nito.
But to my surprise, walang nag bago. I flipped through each and every page, until I reached the page that's been ripped out. There was something written on it, but it was in a different language..?
"What..? I think it's in Greek.. What does it even say though?" I furrowed my eyebrows and took a picture of it, too.
I closed the book and put it under my pillow, this was a lot for me to take in.
I layed down as I stared at my ceiling, thinking of the man in the drawing, the date, the sentence written in Greek. All of it was too much, and I STILL had to finish my lesson.I didn't like procrastinating my work so I went straight to work for my lesson next week. I just worked with the books I had at home, and with the help of multiple reliable sources I was able to complete my lesson for next week.
I opened my phone to check what time it was, and to my surprise it was already 2:19AM in the morning. Nawala sa utak ko 'yung oras, will I even get sleep at this point? I tidied my work space and went back to my bed.
I layed down and stared at my window, gazing at the tall buildings of the city. I had a good view since my house was in a subdivision on a mountain so overlooking talaga and view mo sa city.I was about to drift to sleep when I heard that same old ringing again. This time I sat right back up and flipped the book open, I checked every page even the one that was ripped out, I even checked the cover but nothing seemed to have changed.
"huh, that's strange..."
I uttered quietly to myself when I suddenly heard my phone ring, I was a bit startled but I eventually checked to see how it was. It was an unknown number, baka si Stell nanaman 'to pabago-bago ng number 'yun eh!
"dre, I told you I can't make it to—"
"Hello..? Ah, maling number ata 'to.. Pasensya na po!"
"teka— who's this?"
"po? Uh.. My name is Paulo, sorry sa abala! Have a nice Sunday po!"
"huh? Wait..!"
And that was it, the person on the other line hung up. I have so many questions, first of all— he said his name was Paulo... If I remember correctly, the name written on the book also included a 'Paulo' in it. Though I could be wrong since Paulo is a common name naman. But one thing I found weird, sabi n'ya have a good Sunday, today is Friday.
