The car finally came to a stop as it pulled in the driveway of THE one and only Limberton Academy. My sister let out a tired sigh as she made the car stop, after all, she had been driving for 8 hours straight, only stopping 15 minutes to get lunch. I have also got my driver's license and TRUST ME I did offer to drive for a few, but Rose did not hesitate to decline my offer. She definitely thought I was too young to drive on the highway, and I did not have the confidence to put up an argument.
I jumped out of the car and so did Rose. We made our way out of the parking lot and finally got a close view of Limberton Academy. And when I way, I was mesmerized, I fucking mean it. The campus consisted of 4 beige colored huge ass buildings, a dome shaped cafeteria which looked like as if the top was made of glass, a huge lawn with a mind-blowing fountain in the middle and many beautiful trees planted on the border of the fields. We noticed a pathway through the campus connecting it to another set of two buildings which were most likely where the students resided. So you are telling me, the other 4 buildings are only for the classes? This place is flipping huge, straight out of a movie. It could easily fit 5 copies of my previous school. My sister and me were both equally shocked.
We walked through the front most building which was the main of the 4. The inside of the building was equally as good as the outside, we spotted a reception desk on the leftmost side of the building. It was covered in golden tiles just like the ones in fancy hotels. There sat a blonde, blue eyed, short lady who appeared to be pretty sweet judged by the warm smile on her face when she noticed us. We walked over to her and my sister spoke out "HI, we are here to meet with the Principal".
"A new student huh? Well welcome to Limberton dear" Lauren replied giving me a welcoming smile. I knew her name by looking at the name tag she wore on the rightmost side of her chest. I smiled back to her.
"Go to the first floor and the very left is the Principal's office. In case you can't find it, there's other staff up there too" Lauren spoke out again.
"It won't be a problem, Thank you Lauren" my sister replied as Lauren handed me a leaflet which appeared to be a map of the campus. Thank God, I would definitely need this to thrive here.
We made our way upstairs to meet with the Principal in his office, and went to the left just as Lauren suggested when we spotted a golden sign reading "Principal's office" in beautiful calligraphy. Shit, this place is fancier than I expected. We made our way to the door and my sister was on the verge of opening it when we heard a female voice say "Wait, ma'am I would first need to know why you are here before you can meet with the Principal".
"Yup, sorry, my sister is a new admission in this school. You know, the Scholarship student from Westbrook", my sister replied.
"Thank you, go right in" the same woman replied who was sitting in office like area with the difference being that there were no walls to make this a room. I guessed she was the vice principal or principal's assistant or whatever they call it here. My sister opened the door knob while I consciously checked myself before following my sister. I NEEDED to make a GOOD first impression. I always believed that first impressions are extremely important, they can have a lasting impact on how people view each other and set the tone for future interactions. To be honest I was kind of nervous about how the Principal was going to be. Stict? Kind? Chill? Intimidating? Guess we are about to find out. My sister stepped inside his office and I followed her in.
The Principal's office was just as fancy as the rest of the school but I had to admit, it was quite messy. Uh why are most men so messy? I wish I could just sit here and organize everything up. The office was a luxurious haven of dark wood, rich fabrics, and soft lighting. A large abstract painting and antique books adorned the walls, while a comfortable leather chair and a massive desk dominated the center of the room. An American flag, its stars and stripes a stark contrast against the rich tones of the room, hung proudly in one corner. And on the leather chair, sat Mr. James, the Principal of this Fancy fucking school.
My sister and I took seat before the Principal's desk. I finally looked at the Principal. He has short, neatly styled hair and a clean-shaven face. He has a fit build and is wearing a blue tailored coat. His overall look is polished and professional, with a confident demeanor. I am impressed by how neat and well put together he looks. He is also probably as many girls of my age would describe "HOT ASS". I do not think that though, I mean he is pretty good looking with a good build and also fits the standards of being considered as hot but I don't know. He's not really my type. Maybe instead of measuring the hotness of my Principal, I should probably listen to what he has to say.
Fuck. He had already started speaking. J was so goddamn busy examining his appearance that I did not listen to a word what my sister and he said. As humiliating as it was, I asked him "Sorry?". Fuck Isabella, this is NOT going to help with making a good first impression.
"I just asked, why you applied for the scholarship to this school?" Mr. James replied with a comforting smile on his face.
"I applied for the scholarship for the endless opportunities this school provides. The rigorous academic curriculum and the school's commitment to fostering critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity aligns. Additionally, diverse opportunities for extracurricular involvement will undoubtedly broaden my horizons." I replied confidently.
If I were to guess I would say, he was very impressed with my answer as he raised his eyebrows as an expression of being pleased.
"Wow, that's a very satisfying answer to hear as the Principal of this institution to be honest"
I let out a small giggle and so did Rose.
"Speaking of extra curriculars, what are you into? Were you a part of any extra curricular activities of your previous school" he asked.
"Yes, I Infact was. I have been in the dance team since 5th grade, I have also been in the management body of our school functions, and I also had been a part of the girl's volleyball team last year" I replied.
"I have to admit, you seem like a very diverse student. By the way, have you ever been part of any dramas?"
"A few I guess in middle school, not many though"
"You should consider taking up drama this year, we have a very solid drama team and I think you would do wonderful in that too" He said admiring my face for some reason.
"Yes thank you, I will definitely give it some thought".
He got up from his chair and offered to give me a tour of the school while my sister filled out all the forms and stuff.
He held out his hand with a friendly smile and I accepted it.
