Two little side notes before we start.
RIP MAGGIE SMITH (today is the 28th of september as i'm writing this and I spent ten minutes on my kitchen floor writhing in pain bc of this)
And Two ( I saw this pinterest whisper that said 'fuck it, we ball' and i decided to channel that energy into the next few chapters.

It had been two weeks of searching for the Dark Hold. A couple leads were being chased down on Midgard, and everyone on Asgard had been slaving away doing all the research they could on the relic.
Frigga and Odin seemed to know what it was, along with Loki. The rest of us were clueless. I couldn't do much considering my great lack of knowledge in that area, so whenever help was needed, I was first to assist.
Loki had explained to me it's potential and the dangers of using it. There were dark spells, prophecies, and things I couldn't even begin to understand. But Maleficent going crazy. Odin taking Frigga's hand to hide his. It all made sense.
The things that had happened too quickly for me to process made much more sense now. It was a knowledge paradox and it hurt when I thought about it too long. How many other things was I clueless about?
Odin and the human Queen were currency in the dungeons. When Frigga wasn't searching for answers, she was trying to reason with her husband and run a kingdom. Thor and Loki were helping her, but with Thor balancing two realms, the Darkhold issue, Loki planning and attending royal duty after royal duty, they'd been busier than ever.
I rarely saw them, since I was also busy running the Moors and calming them. Assuring them day after day that there was no problem and everything would be fine. At least this way I didn't feel completely useless.
"Y/n!" Aurora, whom I hadn't seen a while since I'd made sure her and Prince Philip were in a place of safety the last few weeks, came to me.
"Yes Beasty?"
"Follow me." She turned away from me in a second and sprinted off. Without questions I followed her. She had a knack for being flustered and unable to articulate things in the most dire situations.
She led us through the forest and all the way to the human kingdom. Did I like it here? No
Were the stares worse than anything I'd ever gotten before? Ye- No?
The second Aurora leapt across the bridge, her people greeted her, and me?
Maybe they'd been grateful for me throwing their Queen across a battlefield? Humans were truly strange.
"Thank you for saving us, miss." A young boy tugged my dress. He held up a small wilted rose. I smiled, makes sense. I wrapped the rotting petals in my palm and let a small green wisp bring the flower back to life.
"Thank you for letting me." I bowed my head, and left the boy with his offering and found Aurora staring back at me, happy, but impatient.
I continued behind her, letting her take us to the basement level of their castle. It was nice, but not half as grand as Asgards. It was covered in beautiful moss and vines with massive grey bricks building up it's towers and barriers.
She opened a wooden door at the bottom of a long spiral stairwell going further into the ground, the handles were iron so she held it open for me and showed me a small chest, glowing maroon from the cracks.
"I believe I've found it. I didn't want to touch it because Philip had warned me and it's got all these locks too-"
I jumped at Aurora and hugged her tight. I clicked the bracelet linking me to Loki and let her go.
