We stood in a circle, once closer than breath,
But the distance grew between us like shadows.
Laughter that once filled the air is quieter now,
Lost somewhere between what we were
And what we've become.

We built something together, hands intertwined,
Brick by brick, until it reached the sky.
But time chips away at even the strongest walls,
And sometimes, the cracks are too deep to fix.
I feel the weight of it now, slipping through my fingers.

There were moments I thought would last forever,
Songs we sang, voices in perfect harmony.
But forever is a word that fades,
Like a melody we once knew by heart,
Now drifting, incomplete.

I look around, and the room feels too big,
Though we're all still here,
We're not the same, not really.
The space between us is heavy with words unsaid,
With memories too fragile to hold.

Some nights, I wonder if they feel it too—
The loss, the ache of what's gone quiet.
We don't talk about it; maybe it's easier that way.
But I miss us, I miss the way it used to be.
When the world was small, and we were everything.
