After a while, Yn heard him chuckle, a sound low and rich that reverberated through the air between them. The strong scent of cedar wafted around her, wrapping her in an enveloping warmth as he continued, “I won’t lie. It is a little effective.” She hadn’t expected such a reaction, and her dazed expression betrayed her inability to regain her senses.

Her nose remained red, a stark indicator of her distress, while her bloodshot eyes sparkled with unshed tears. Her delicate and fair skin appeared almost translucent in the harsh light, a stark contrast to the emotional storm brewing within her. Taehyung felt a primal urge ignite within him, a wave of temptation and arousal washing over him. Flashbacks of their night sessions flooded his mind, vivid memories that made him long for the intimacy they once shared. He preferred it when she cried and begged in the confines of their bed, where vulnerability and desire intertwined.

If it had been just a few days earlier, Taehyung would have held her chin firmly and kissed her hard and deep, stealing her breath away in a moment of passionate release. He had never held back whenever he sought physical relief with her; their connection had always been marked by a top-notch physical intimacy that left them both craving more. But now, circumstances had changed, and he found himself unable to take that route.

He leaned in closer, their noses nearly touching, their breaths mingling in the small space between them. His dark gaze was fixated on the tear that was threatening to roll down her cheek, a symbol of her pain and vulnerability. “I’ll go soft on you this time. Don’t give me any trouble, okay?” His voice was low and filled with an intensity that made her heart race. There was a sense of gravity in his words, a promise mingled with a warning that sent shivers down her spine.

She nodded, her voice hoarse as she managed to whisper, “Okay.”

Taehyung’s lips curled into a smirk, but there was no warmth in his smile—only a cold, calculated amusement. He straightened up, his posture exuding an effortless confidence that made her heart race. The top two buttons of his white shirt were undone, revealing a glimpse of the taut skin beneath, and his suit jacket was casually draped over his arm, enhancing the allure of his nonchalance.

“This method does work,” he said lazily, his gaze unwavering as he studied her reaction. “But I prefer your obedient and pliant side.” The words dripped with a possessive undertone.

“So, be a good girl for me,” he instructed, his voice low and commanding. With that, he turned on his heel and left the room, the door clicking shut behind him, leaving her in a whirlwind of emotions.

Yn felt a mix of confusion and frustration coursing through her veins. How could he shift so effortlessly between tenderness and detachment? The air felt charged with his presence, lingering like a phantom, even after he had gone.

Yn was finally discharged from the hospital. Although there was nothing physically wrong with her health, the blood donation she had made to Guinevere during the early stages of her pregnancy had left her feeling drained and weakened. Fortunately, she had recovered considerably by now.
