Eyes

STACEY'S POV :

Yesterday was a mix of sadness, envy, and creepiness. Parang meron talagang nag stastalk sakin, but I can't point out who or why. Habang natutulog kami ni Jhoanna sa iisang kama, ay hindi ko talaga mapigilang matakot at yapusin ito sa takot.

Jhoanna : Oh, why bub? May nagaabala ba sa'yo? She rubbed my back.

Stacey : A-Ah wala.. gusto lang kitang yapusin. I said scaredly.

Ayaw ko munang sabihin kay Jhoanna kasi baka feeling ko lang ito. Para talagang may mga mata na nasilip sa'kin gada segundo.

The following morning, I woke up alone. Jhoanna was nowhere to be found. I was scared all alone.. my body started to tremble. I covered myself in my blanket and called for Jhoanna.

Stacey : Jhoanna!! I screamed loudly.

No response. Mas lalo akong natakot kasi walang nasagot sa'kin. Tinawag ko ito ulit.

Stacey : Jhoanna!! I screamed even louder with tears forming in my eyes.

JHOANNA'S POV :

Ginagawa ko yung kape ko ng biglang may tumawag sakin. Hindi ko muna ito pinansin hanggang napagtantanan ko na si Stacey ito. Kaya dali dali akong umakyat sa kwarto niya.

I stormed in her room and looked around. I saw her covered in her blanket. I quickly sat beside her.

Jhoanna : Stacey? Baby, what's wrong?! I said worriedly as she was crying. I quickly removed the blanket covering her

Stacey : I thought you left me. Parang may nasilip sa'kin. Please wag kang umalis. This was the first time I saw her so scared. Kaya nagalala na talaga ako.

Jhoanna : Shh.. nandito ako. Bodyguard mo'ko diba? Wag ka na umiyak. I hugged her tightly.

I thought nothing of her emotions pero napansin kong umiba na kilos niya buong araw. Kaya nagtaka na rin ako kung anong nangyayari sakanya. What's happening to you, Stacey?

She was out of herself all day and kept looking everywhere. Sa lahat ng parte ng eskwelahan namin tinitingnan niya.

Jhoanna : Bub, ano ba nangyayari? I finally asked her.

Stacey : Wala. Bakit? She said while snapping back to reality.

I then suddenly remembered what she said earlier.

— FLASHBACK —

Jhoanna : Stacey? Baby, what's wrong?! I said worriedly as she was crying. I quickly removed the blanket covering her

Stacey : I thought you left me. Parang may nasilip sa'kin. Please wag kang umalis.

— END OF FLASH BACK —

"Parang may nasilip sa'kin." that word played in my head repeatedly while we were in class. To the point I didn't even know what our lesson was about.

Nagaalala na'ko para kay Stacey. Hindi ko alam wether she has a mental problem, or someone really is stalking her.

I would do everything to protect Stacey. My Stacey.

Me and Stacey was in the canteen. With her friends Mikha, Maloi, Sheena, and Gwen. Everyone was enjoying except for Stacey. She hasn't even touched her food yet.

Sheena : Oh Stacey. Bakit malungkot ang beshy ko? She asked unseriously.

Stacey : Hm? Ah wala, masama lang pakiramdam ko. I could tell she was faking it. Her eyes says otherwise.

Mikha : Oh? Do you want to go to the clinic? Mikha suggets.

I could feel my fists clench as Mikha puts her hand around Stacey's neck as Stacey reluctantly agrees.

I should be taking her. Not Mikha. I follow her and Mikha to the clinic while holding the urge to punch Mikha.

The nurse from the clinic told Stacey to just lay in the bed because Stacey reasoned out that she was having a migraine.

Pagkatapos ni Stacey mahiga sa kama, agad ko namang kinausap si Mikha.

Jhoanna : Nagpapabibo kaba? Ako ang jowa. Ex kana. Bakit kapa nagpapapansin?! I said angrily.

Mikha : Ay sorry tol, hindi ba pwedeng friends lang kami? At anong magagawa mo kung may gusto pa rin ako kay Stacey? She said teasingly.

I clenched my fists before she stormed off the room. I wanted to punch her so badly.

I just laid beside Stacey to accompany her. What is the real reason behind her actions?

When she woke up, I didn't double think to ask her.

Jhoanna : Bakit ka nagkakaganto, Stacey? May nagawa ba'ko? May nararamdaman ka? My mouth spilled out a lot of questions.

Stacey : She froze for a second. Wala nga. Nahilo lang ako, that's all.

Jhoanna : Is it the hooded person? I asked coldly.

She completely froze.

Jhoanna : Nakikita ko rin siya. I swear, I'll protect you with all my life. Lindtsey Stacey Aubrey Casumpang Sevilleja. I said while holding her hand.
