Chapter 9

📍SPAIN,MADRID🇪🇸

~Jude's POV~

I had just stepped out of the shower, a towel wrapped around my waist. As I stood in front of the bathroom mirror, I moisturized my face and fixed my hair before getting dressed for training. I headed downstairs and walked into the kitchen, greeted by a big smile from my mom.

"Good morning, honey," she said brightly.

"Morning, Mum," I replied, laughing as I noticed her unusually excited expression. "Why are you smiling so hard?"

She squealed with excitement. "Your dad and Jobe are coming to stay for a week!"

I couldn't help but share in her excitement. I don't get to see them often, so having them around for a whole week was something to look forward to. I was especially looking forward to spend time with Jobe. We chatted over breakfast before Mom drove me to training—I couldn't be bothered to drive today. On the way, I texted Tory to invite her to dinner with my family.

Heyy Tory!

Morning, Jude. What's up?

Umm, well, I was wondering if you wanted to have dinner with my family and me. My dad and Jobe are coming tonight.

Yeah, sure! I'd love to. Text me the details, and I'll be there.

No need, I'll pick you up.

Oh, there's no need

I insist.

Okay, then 🙄

I'll text you later. Gotta go now training's about to start.

Good luck! Don't break anything 😉

After training, my mom picked me up, and I told her I'd invited Tory over for dinner. She was excited to meet her because I have been talking about her for the last few weeks. We drove back home, knowing my dad and Jobe were probably on their flights to Madrid. Mom would pick them up from the airport later, and I'd go pick up Tory. I was excited to have everyone together for the week. It doesn't happen often, and I want to make the most of it.

Once home, I grabbed my boots and bag from the car and headed inside. I went straight upstairs to take a shower while Mom started prepping dinner. After my shower, I put on some nice clothes and did my hair. By the time I came back downstairs, Mom was almost done with the food. She grabbed her car keys to head to the airport, and I did the same, ready to go pick up Tory.

* I KNOW JUDE CANT DRIVE ITS JUST FOR THE STORY*

The airport was closer to our house, and Tory lived a bit farther away, so I figured Mom would probably be home before I was. I waved goodbye to her and started my drive, blasting "21 Questions" by 50 Cent on the way. I finally pulled up to Tory's apartment and parked my car. Walking up to her door, I rang the bell.

She took a while to answer, and I was getting impatient, but when she finally opened the door, she surprised me by wearing a stunning white dress.

"Hey, Jude," she greeted me, pulling me into a hug, her arms around my neck.

"Hey, Tory," I replied, smiling. "You look gorgeous."

"Thank you," she said, blushing slightly. We walked down to the car, and like the gentleman I am, I opened the door for her.

On the way back to my house, she was in control of the aux. She put on GATA ONLY-FLOYMENOR & CRIS MJ, singing her heart out. I couldn't help but laugh. "Mami, te siento lejos, dime dónde estás.Te quiero chingar, te voy a raptar" she sang loudly

"You sound terrible! My ears are bleeding!" I teased.

She hit my arm playfully. "I sing like Mariah Carey!" she protested, rolling her eyes. We both burst into laughter.

After a few minutes, we arrived at my house. I parked the car, opened her door, and we walked up to the front door together. As we stepped inside, I hung up her bag and then led her into the dining room where my parents and Jobe were already seated.

My dad stood up and gave me a big hug, laughing loudly. I hugged Jobe next before introducing Tory.

"Mom, Dad, this is Tory," I said. Tory greeted my mom with a hug and my dad with a polite handshake.

"And Jobe, this is Tory," I added. Jobe shook her hand firmly, and she smiled warmly at everyone as she took a seat next to me.

"Jude doesn't usually introduce us to girls, so you must be special," my mom teased. She wasn't wrong. I usually kept my relationships private, especially after having trust issues with my exes.

"And he talks about you a lot," Jobe added, grinning.

"Do you?" Tory asked me with a mischievous smile.

I just rolled my eyes, chuckling.

Mom began serving dinner, and to my relief, the conversation flowed naturally.

"So, how did you two meet?" my dad asked, genuinely curious.

"Remember when Jobe and I went to that fashion show in Paris? Well, after the show, it was so packed, and on our way out, she bumped into me and fell." I laughed, remembering the moment.

"You bumped into me!" Tory corrected, practically shouting.

My dad burst out laughing, and soon everyone joined in.

By the end of dinner, Tory offered to help my mom clean the kitchen, even though my mom insisted she didn't need help. While they cleaned up, Jobe, my dad, and I relaxed in the living room.

"I like her," Jobe said with a smile, and my dad nodded in agreement.

I couldn't help but smile, too.

When my mom and Tory finished cleaning, they joined us for a few more conversations before I drove Tory back to her apartment. After parking outside, she turned to me and said, "That was fun. I love your family."

"Yeah, they like you too. You should come over more often," I replied.

"So, you like having me around?" she asked, smirking.

I rolled my eyes. "You're annoying, you know?" I teased, getting out of the car to open her door. I walked her to her apartment door, and as we said our goodbyes, I pulled her into a hug.

"But really, I had fun. I enjoyed myself," she said.

"Glad to hear it," I replied, smiling as we said our goodnights.
