Dear Diary | Sadie Sink x Y/n

2. The family

Usually this time you would hear an alarm you always set but because of yesterday drained you a lot it is already almost 11 am and you are still sleeping. Surprisingly Luca is as off as you are. You both are sleeping tight until you hear the phone. You wake up jumping a little since you have your phone really loud. You take your phone and see it's your mom

"hey" you say sleepy

You moved out to study two years ago but you are still in contact with your family. It's not a big win since they all are expecting you to finish your studies and marry some influential guy to get a good job and wealthy life for yourself

"hi Y/n. Where are you?" she asks nicely which makes you sit up curious

"home? why?" you reply waking fully up

"do you think you can make it home this weekend? We would like to see you again" she says really nice and calm

"ehh I will see about how much work I will have but I guess I will manage to. I was there like last month. Why so sudden??" you say still thinking something bad from them but your mom just ignores your question

"that's amazing. We will be looking forward to the weekend then. We really miss you" your mom says and hangs up. You look at the cancelled call still confused but you are about to find out soon enough since it's Thursday and you can pack today because of no school. You have some important lessons tomorrow mostly about some presentations

You get up and go brush your teeth. You put your hoodie on and take Luca for a little walk before going back and playing some music to help you enjoy the packing at least a little. You think about what you should take with but eventually, you just throw into the bag clothes which you saw first and focus more on the things you need

You take your notebook and pen safely so it won't get damaged. You also pack a few stuff and toys for Luca in case he gets bored

After you are done packing you go to get some schoolwork done before going on another long walk with Luca. You go to the store on your way and buy something little for you. When you get back you make yourself some food and give Luca some as well. Most of today you just spend at home getting everything ready so you are calm tomorrow and you don't have to stress about the time so you get done your school and clean the apartment

When you are sitting on your couch watching a movie Sadie calls you. You stop the movie and smile as soon as you see Sadie's name on the screen. You lay down comfortably and pick up the call

"hey Sades" you say while lying on the couch

"heyy Y/n" Sadie replies "I was wondering if you are free this weekend" she asks and your smile immediately fades as you know too well that you are not

"actually..no. I am going to visit my family. I am sorry" you say trying not to sound sad so she won't be sad from it as much

"oh. It's okay. I hope you will enjoy it there and maybe we can hang out next weekend" Sadie says thinking fast but you can hear the disappointment through the fake smile she is trying to keep

"I would love to. Hopefully, I will be free. I am sorry again" you say and hear a sad voice saying it's okay

Sadie says she has to go but you don't really believe it but you let her and give her some space and finish your movie. Since you are already showered you lay down straight and fall asleep easily since you've done a lot to drain your mental side from all that planning and packing and mostly thinking about your family and how the weekend will go

You bring your bags into the car and set up the back for Luca. He is very calm and okay with traveling and generally with cars so you have no problem and start your ride after locking the house. You turn on the music and after two hours you stop at the gas station to let Luca out for a little and give him water. You wait there for 20 minutes just sitting in the car leaving the doors open
