3. Madison

As you are standing outside with your dad you sigh and nod agreeing to give it another try

"just for you two though" you say and get back in

You spot Ellie peeking out of her room so you go to her and pick her up

"are you leaving?" she asks sadly hoping for the opposite

"no El. I'm going to stay for a while" you say and see how her eyes and face lit up with happiness

You smile and go to her room with her. Luca follows you and lays down next to the door watching you both as Ellie sits you down on the floor and starts showing you her stuff. Mostly what you really like are her drawings. She shows you a lot of drawings and you notice how better she got since your last visit

"these are beautiful" you say and grab her notebook and go through some pages

"thank you" she says and smiles as you look through

You get to the last drawing. You recognize your car from the back. Your sister really drew it well and you stare in awe

"that's your car" she says pointing at it

"damn, it is. Really good one. Better than the real one" you say and laugh a little

"I drew it when I missed you" she says catching your attention

You go closer to her and hug your little sister "I'm sorry I wasn't here" you say while hugging her but she reassures you that everything is okay. You look into her eyes not believing it but pretend like you do

After spending time with your sister your mom calls for breakfast. You both get up from the floor and go to the kitchen. Your mom knows nothing about you almost leaving this morning since she was sleeping

You and your sister sit down at the table and wait for the food your mom is making. Your dad soon joins you too and you all just quietly wait until your mom speaks

"what do you think about Jacob Y/n?" and you look at her back frustrated but decide to not say anything

She turns around confused you didn't say anything. You just continue looking at your dad until she turns back again letting it all be

The breakfast goes by without bigger conversations and you are with Ellie in the backyard. Since your childhood you have had two swings there so you are just sitting there and catching up. You are talking about stories from school which Ellie finds really interesting

The day went from the breakfast calmly and you spend a lot of time with your family. Except for your mom who left before lunch. You cooked lunch for your sister and dad and you all had an amazing time together. Luca enjoyed the day too since Ellie loves him little too much

Now you are all sitting at the table having dinner. Your mom came back earlier to make dinner but more importantly she brought news. You found out the news about you and Jacob getting married just few seconds ago. You can't help but snap at your mom

"why didn't you tell me anything about this?! You just decided the rest of my life without me. Are you fucking serious?!! You have always been doing this. That's why I moved out. Because you only want me get married for money. You are so controlling. What I have someone?!" you say without thinking

Your dad takes Ellie to her room and you just stare at your mother while she stares back at you

"What do you mean you have someone? And why do we know nothing about this??" she asks and you sigh mad

"Is this what you actually care about? If I have someone or not?? What about the part where you are controlling my life?" you say still pissed off

"that is only for you. So you have a good life and financial support" she says and you push her away really mad making her almost fall but you don't stop for that

"I should have left this morning like I was going to" you yell and storm off

The door from your room slams the wall making a loud sound as you open it. You grab your single and already packed bag since you left everything packed in your car this morning. As you are about to close the door you hear your dad calling after your little sister who comes running to you as you turn around

You drop your bag to catch her. She is in your arms hugging you tightly

"don't leave please" Ellie says crying and you just hug her tighter

"I'm sorry El" you say and try to put her down but she holds you too strongly

You close your eyes and hug her again and then see your dad coming to you

You hear him sigh and then he takes Ellie away from you and you take your bag

"No. Dad what are you doing?? Let me go. Stop her please" Ellie tries to get from your dad's arms

You can hear her voice cracking as she starts crying but you open the door put the bag into your trunk and open the car door. Before getting in you look at the front door of the house which opens and they both are looking at you. You go over to them give Ellie a big kiss on her forehead and hug them both. You tell both of them how much you love them get Luca in the car and eventually watch your little sister crying from inside the car

As you get home you unpack everything again and lay down on the bed. Since you thought you were going to be there longer you went during your free week so now you have nothing to do. You open your phone thinking about texting Sadie but before doing so you decide to take a shower and just be in your pajamas the whole day

As you are undressing a paper falls from your pocket. You remember Madison and her little sister. You put the paper on your nightstand and go to the shower

After the shower, you go to your bed and from curiosity you dial the number Madison gave you. You wait a few seconds before hearing a voice

"Hello?" you hear a girl say

"Madison?" you say wanting to make sure

"yes? Who are you" she says confused

"I'm Y/n. From the gas station remember?" you say and hear her relief through the phone

"ohh yes. I gave you my number. Surprised you called" Madison says laughing a little

After a little bit of talking about your school and the trip you went on, your plan of staying at home gets canceled since Luca needs to go outside

"okay. It's been nice talking to you but Luca needs to go on a walk so I have to go" you say but Madison cuts you off

"wait. What if I go with you? We can finish our talk and get to know each other better" she suggests and you don't see any problem with it so you agree even though with a little hesitation

You send her the name of the park you always go to and get dressed for outside. You take your hoodie and pants on and go out. Luca immediately heads toward the park

You walk after him and get a message from Sadie 'hey, I heard you got back on campus earlier from your trip' as you read it you call her smiling

"hey Sades" you say

"hii Y/n" she says back and you have to admit that you really missed her voice

"how do you know I'm back?" you ask out of curiosity

"I have some friends on campus and they know i talk to you so they told me" she says

"ohhh okay. Well yeah, i don't have anything to do since i was expecting i would spend more time there but whatever. I am outside with my dog so"

"that's nice. Well i don't have any plans either so we can hang out?" she asks

"ehh. Maybe tomorrow? It's not really good for me today" you say and then you spot Madison near the park. You two make eye contact and she goes to you smiling

"hiiii Y/n" Madison says loudly as she approaches you

Sadie hears her clearly and understands that you are already with someone so she hangs up. With you being on call and watching Luca to stay close to you and now Madison running to you you don't really notice Sadie ending the call

"hey Madison" you say still in shock from everything and put your phone into your pocket
