5. The kiss?

After returning the bikes you quickly say bye and run home leaving Sadie clueless. On your way home with Luca, you call your dad

"dad?" you say not knowing what to expect

"Y/n. Where are you??" he says not happy

You don't know if you hear sadness, fear, disappointment, or something else

"on my way home. Why?" you ask still not knowing anything

"Your mom is planning the wedding in two weeks.." your dad says making you stop in your walk

Luca stops as well and comes back to you. You just stand in the middle of a street with wide eyes. You feel the anger growing as you are trying to get some sentence

"I won't show up anyways" you answer and start walking again as you get your thoughts together

"that's the thing. She is on your way there to pick you up..and she seemed decided to bring you here. I just wanted to warn you" he says through the phone

"How long ago did she leave?" you ask wondering how much time you have

"Almost three hours ago. I couldn't call you right away. I was away and didn't know but I called her to find where she was and found out this so I called you immediately" he says and you sigh

"okay. Thank you for the warning. I have to go now" you say and hang up

After a few minutes, you are standing in front of the door searching for the keys and trying to think of something to do or say. As you open the door and make your way through the hall to your room you spot Madison there waiting in front of your door

"Madison?" you ask surprised

"Y/n, hi" she says turning to you and smiling

"what are you doing here?" you ask stopping in your steps

"I was here to visit my friend to help her with her work and wanted to stop by but you weren't here so I waited" Madison says

"you could have called. What if I didn't come so early?" you say and go to your door to let Luca inside

"but you did" you hear behind you 

"yeah. What do you need?" you ask as you go in to put your phone and wallet on the table

"today is a birthday party of my friend so I was wondering if you would want to come" she says and you go back to her with your keys

"I am busy tonight. Have some work to do" you say looking at her and seeing Madison shocked because she thought you wouldn't even hesitate

"oh okay. Well maybe we can hang out some other time?" she suggests and you nod

"yeah sure. I will text you when I'm free. It's gonna be busy with school now" you say walking her out

"okay. Maybe I can help you with some work as well" Madison says already outside and you close the door "Maybe. If I need help I will ask. Thank you for the chance" you say and look behind her at the person who is walking your direction

"Y/N" your mom says sweetly and with a wide smile

"mom.." you say making Madison turn around

"hello" she says and your mom does as well

"are you ready to go?" your mom asks and Madison looks at you shocked and clueless as you just stare at your mom "no, I'm not leaving" you say not breaking the tense eye contact

"oh don't be ridiculous. I know you don't have anyone. And you know I am doing this for you" your mom says now more seriously since she realized her good side plan didn't work
