4. Feeling better

You walk through the park and talk with each other. You learn about her traveling plan instead of studying college and her little sister and her life in general. She is younger than you but you still have a lot of things to talk about

You tell her about your school and life here. About getting Luca and how important he is for you. After two hours spent together, you go back to your apartment with Madison going with you

"okay. Thank you for today. It was nice getting to know you" you say standing in front of your door

"Thank you as well" she says and hugs you

You get caught off guard but hug her back. You pull away right after not wanting the hug to be longer than necessary. You say bye to Madison and take Luca inside

I got back on campus from my hometown. It was horrible. I am sure my mom invited me just to set me up with that boy Jacob. He was so annoying and made me so uncomfortable. I hate it when it gets like this. Like it's my thing who I date. Even if my mom knew I like girls...god she would be out of her mind. I had really missed Ellie and dad tho so I am glad I could see them. Hopefully, they will visit me here soon. Oh and then. I called that girl Madison and we went out on a walk with Luca. I could see a little tension from him about Madison but I don't know why. She hugged me and yeah that was a little too much even for me but other than that I didn't notice anything weird. Maybe he just needs to get to know her a little more

You close your notebook and put it away. You look at Luca who is lying on the bed next to you "what are we gonna do?" you say bored and he just gives you a side eye "come on. Madison was okay" you say and he just looks away "fine. Be mad at me. You are just a dog" you say and take your phone

Before you open Instagram Luca steals it from your hands and runs away with it "LUCA" you yell as you get up from the bed running after him "GIVE IT BACK" you yell again

After a few seconds, you are looking at him from the other side of the table in the living room. He is looking at you back with your phone in his mouth. You can see that the phone is still on so you pray he doesn't accidentally press something

"okay. look. sit down and give me the phone okay" you say and he sits calmly

"good boy" you add and slowly go for your phone which you eventually get and clean

"oh my god. like I said. Just a dog" you say while cleaning it and Luca barks at you

"okay okay I'm sorry" you say and go back to bed "stupid" you mumble

As you are lying down in the bed you get a message from Madison. You sigh a little as you read her name

'hey I really enjoyed today and I would like to repeat it tomorrow or some other day' she texts

You read it just in the notification so you don't have to give her seen and continue scrolling through Instagram

Before going to sleep you check the weather for tomorrow because you would like to go on a bigger walk with Luca since it's the only thing in your mind now

You wake up late but you slept really well. You get up from the bed to give Luca fresh water and food before going to the bathroom to brush your teeth and make yourself look presentable. You take a quick shower and get dressed. You pick up your phone to check the weather again and with another message from Madison you just delete it and focus on your day with Luca

Because it's really nice today and it's one of the last days like this you want to use it. You put on your shoes and take your phone with your keys. You put a collar on Luca and head out. As you walk out of the door you see Sadie walking from the campus so you approach her
