CHAPTER 2 PART 1

Click-! 10pm.. "Finally done." I sighed in relief as I made my way to the gate. The guards there were half asleep but I wouldn't blame them, it's not like any of us have it easy. "Miss Y/N, be careful out there I heard there's those murders happening around." A guard in his 40s warned me as I smiled back at him, I guess he's new. I haven't seen him around. "Alright, sir! Thanks and stay safe as well." I bow before leaving to head to the bus station. Harajuku streets seem lively even at night, it's good to know so it doesn't feel ominous in the streets. "I should grab something to eat.." Drinking three shots of coffee in one day did not do it for me. I sighed, remembering that there is a convenience store near the station so I could just grab a quick bite on the way. I looked around me, people seemed to be at ease despite the news but it feels like there are fewer people who go outside at this time these days. I guess it's better to be safe than sorry.

I reached the bus stop, seeing that the store behind it was still open. I ran inside and bought everything I needed. As I was about to pay, a strange man in a black coat approached the counter, sliding past me. I glared at him till I got a good look on his face, our eyes then met. "Kaiser?" My eyes constantly widened as I realized who it was. He was just in my dream earlier! He was just as quiet to me as I was to him but he was active to others. I didn't expect to meet him here. He'd always catch my eyes by how charismatic he was back then despite him being cold. "Y/N! It's been a while." He smiled slowly as he paid at the counter, it looks like he just got out from work like I did. He was wearing a suit inside with a coat. "Let me pay for those, you taking the bus?" I nodded as I handed him the food I bought. I'm guessing he noticed my working attire. "Thanks, and yeah! I worked overtime today cuz if I don't, my boss will be scolding me again." I chuckled awkwardly as we both made our way to the bus station and sat down. "Are you going home as well? Let's take the bus together!" I offered yet he shook his head. "I can't, I just live around here so no need." Oh, Good for him. If my workplace were that close to my office, I wouldn't have to take this damn bus everyday. I nodded as I took a bite out of my food. "Where do you work, anyway?" I asked, it somehow feels refreshing to me seeing and chatting with someone despite those terrible memories back then. "At the nightclub. I work there as a bartender ." He chuckled as he opened a can of beer that he bought at the store. "Oh, that's near my workplace! I work as a reporter." I smirked, being highly about my dream job causing him to let out a laugh. I stopped at my tracks ,feeling confused by the sudden emotion. "Sorry.. It's just that you've changed from what you were at highschool. We barely talked but here we are." He smiled softly, you can see in his eyes how much admiration was in there. "It's all in the past plus you were chill back then so I never had a problem with you." I laughed back as I took the last bite of my food. This warm sensation is great after long days of work. Catching up with an old friend like time wasn't running. "That's good. You told me that you work near the bar, right? You should visit sometime!" He held both my hands, getting me startled. I didn't expect this, maybe he's drunk from the beer..? One can of beer. I noticed more how much he changed, he was more friendly or less cold than before. But I noticed his height, now how the hell did this man who was the same height as me before now taller? Life is unfair. I sulked internally as I smiled at him. "Sure! It's on you though." I elbowed him playfully, nodding and agreeing to his offer.

"To Omotesando?" The sliding door of the bus opens in front of us, getting us off guard. I nodded as a yes to the driver before turning to Kaiser. "I gotta go, it was nice meeting you!" I stood up before shaking his hand. I nodded as he pulled out his phone. "Let's keep in touch. Here's my number." He showed me his phone as I quickly took a pic of his number as I rushed inside the bus. As I went ahead and picked a seat, I could see Kaiser waving goodbye. I waved back before sitting down as the bus went further away. I took out my phone and added his number, staring for a while. "Well, that was unexpected.." I sighed in relief, I leaned against the window as I let my thoughts fill my head. A lot has changed since then, I'm glad it's a good change. I don't wanna meet people who see me as I was before in highschool. That would suck so bad. "Kaiser.." I mumbled, remembering his name. After a while of staring at things outside, my eyes finally gave out, granting me the sleep I've missed.
