Mikha's POV
I still cannot process everything Aiah have just said. The thought of losing Aiah is already killing me in the process.
We're too young to be in this mess and too young to be in that paradise. I am wishing for Aiah's recovery but the Gods in heaven seems to not be on my side.
The pain of seeing Aiah struggling is much more painful than the digging of the sharp knives.
Mikha's POV
After slow dancing with Aiah, she asked me to put her back to sleep. I slowly guided her to her bed, i put on her blanket as she speaks.
"Dito ka lang ha? Huwag kang aalis." Aiah said while looking at my eyes with full of sincerity. I caressed her hair with my hand and kissed her on her forehead.
"I won't go anywhere promise babi, dito lang ako hmm?" I said, she moved to her side to give enough space for me in her bed. "Lay here with me." She said.
Mikha's POV
I gently hopped in her bed, I hugged her from the side. Lord, I hope this night won't end. This is my comfort place as ever.
"Mikha...?" Aiah called, I looked down on her to see her beautiful pale face.
"Always remember that I love you even without a heart beat..." Those are the words that slipped through Aiah's mouth. I placed a gentle kiss on her forehead.
Mikha's POV
I saw her smiled for the last time before going to sleep. She closed her eyes slowly and peacefully sleeps in my arms.
"Me too Aiah, I will love you even without a heartbeat." I said as I hug her tighter. I want to stay like this with her forever.
The night is getting heavy but my eyes don't. I can't sleep no matter how hard I try to. I am just staring at Aiah's face without noticing that it's already morning.
Mikha's POV
I let go of her for awhile to use the bathroom and wash my face. I got back and opened my laptop on the table to check emails for works.
While working, I heard a knock from the door. I saw it opened revealing Sheena, Gwen, and our parents.
"Good morning..." My mom greeted with a smile. They are being careful as they saw Aiah still sleeping.
Mikha's POV
"Good morning ma, thank you for coming." I said as I stood up to give respect to them. Sheena hugged me as well and did a bro hug with Gwen.
"I have Aiah's angio result. Sorry Mikha medyo natagalan." Gwen said while holding a record chart from her hand.
"Sige na umupo na kayo at ipaghahanda namin kayo ng kape at almusal." My dad said, Gwen and I sat down on the table with Aiah's parents present.
Mikha's POV
"To begin with, I want to inform you na this is a good news. Aiah's arteries are not the narrow anymore. There are some improvements as well but, yes there's a but. We still have to keep her here." Gwen explained.
"Why Doc?" Tito Antonio asked. "Her risk of having a heart attack are still high po. Hindi pa din nag no-normal ang oxygen level niya so we still have to closely monitor her." Gwen answered.
"Do we have to worry anything else aside from possible heart attack?" I asked. I have to protect my wife in case.
Mikha's POV
"Since her oxygen level is not going up. We are watching out for a possible Anoxic Brain Injury. It's when a brain doesn't get enough oxygen." Gwen replied. Everyday, mas nagiging complicated lahat.
"Thank you for that Doc." I said. Gwen nodded as response and then excused herself as she ends her shift. The tiredness in her face is very evident pero mas mukhang pagod ang kapatid ko.
