Krisha and I were walking towards the classroom when Dhruv caught up with us, his tone a little more serious. "So, are you okay now?" he said, nudging me with his elbow.

I adjusted my bag strap. "Yup. Thanks for your concern," I replied.

Krisha frowned in confusion. "Wait, what are you two talking about?"

Dhruv gave her an exaggerated look of disbelief. "You don't know? Miss Kayra almost got herself run over by a car yesterday. And I had to be the hero and save her."

I groaned, rolling my eyes. "It wasn't that dramatic. I was scrolling through my Insta, and Dhruv just yanked me back before I became roadkill."

Krisha gasped with wide eyes. "What?! You didn't tell me! And here I thought your day was uneventful!"

I squinted my eyes at her. "What do you mean by 'uneventful'? So, you care about drama but not your friend's life?" I pouted with a huff. "Hmph, I am so sad," I said, walking towards the classroom with Krisha and Dhruv following me.

Krisha looked flustered. "Come on, Kayra! You know we care about you!" she protested.

"Yeah, don't be dramatic," Dhruv added, smirking. "You're not that easy to get rid of."

I kept walking ahead toward the classroom. "I'm hurt," I said acting innocent.

Krisha and Dhruv exchanged glances, then rushed to catch up. "Okay, okay! We promise to be more concerned next time!" Krisha said.

I chuckled, enjoying the banter, but I pushed open the classroom door, cutting off their attempts to make up.

Inside classroom,

As we stepped into the classroom, I immediately noticed Aagnish sitting in his usual spot

As we stepped into the classroom, I immediately noticed Aagnish sitting in his usual spot. But something was off. He didn't greet me with his usual bright "Good morning!" Instead, he just sat there, unusually quiet, flipping through his notebook.

I sat down beside him, glancing over in concern. "Hey, Aagnish. What's up with you? Why so quiet today? You didn't even say good morning."

He shrugged, avoiding eye contact. "Nothing much," he mumbled, quickly changing the topic. "Anyway, why are you huffing so early in the morning?"
