Tom:

I stand there watching as Julia drags Sam away scolding him. "What's that about?" Asks Amelia as she walks over to me. "Julia is just scolding Sam for bullying Jack." Amelia and I stand there just watching as Sam keeps getting dragged away. Many people who were around started to whisper probably wondering what was going on.

Amelia speaks up in a whiny voice "Can we go home now, I don't want to be in this place for another second. And my bed is calling my name for a nap."

"Yeah, let's go," I say walking over to my car. I open the door for her to get in, and then I close it cause she can't be trusted with car doors. I walk over to the other side and open the door to the driver's seat and get in.

"So how do you like your classes" I say as I drive out of the school parking lot. Amelia sighs "Ela at 7 in the morning is a recipe for failure. Biology is my number one op. Because the fucking teacher gave us work on the first day" I laugh, "My math teacher gave us work today."

"Math is infuriating as well. Like whoever invented geometry needs to be in hell," says Amelia, crossing her arms. "At least Spanish is an easy A"

After some driving, we reach the mansion. I park the car and we get out and walk into the house. "We're home!" yells Amelia letting our grandmother, birthgivers, and older sister that we are home.

I close and lock the door and then walk over to the stairs to go up them. Before I make it far my grandmother walks over and hugs me and then hugs Amelia, "How was your first day of school?" she asks.

"It was fine," I say before walking upstairs and going to my room. I take off my shoes and get on my bed. After a few minutes, I get out of bed, walk over to my closet, and pick out some clothes. I walk to my personal bathroom and take a shower.

After the shower, I get dressed and decide to leave my room. I walked over to my older sister's room where people were people were packing up her stuff. "Hey Penny," I say getting her attention. She had been lying on her bed scrolling on her phone.

She looked up from her phone. "Are Mom and Dad home?" I ask my voice low. "Uh... no. They went out to manage the restaurants. Grandma left a few minutes ago too to help a tenant on the other side of town." She said her gaze returning to her phone. "Ok... thanks for the info, I will be leaving your room now, bye..." I leave her room.

When I go back to my room I see my phone showing that somebody was calling me. I walk over and answer. "Can I come over? I don't really wanna be in my house right now..." said Sam with a shaky voice.

"My parents aren't home so yeah, um... do you want me to pick you up," I say onto the phone. There was silence for a minute before he said "Yeah that would be great."

"I'll be there in a bit" With that I hung up the phone. I leave my room taking my phone and keys. After some time I reach Sam's house. He's waiting outside sitting on the curb. He lived in a mobile home his house looked like shit. A few of his neighbors, he lives in a small mobile home community, were looking at my car with a weird look. Clearly, these people aren't used to seeing rich people around here.

Sam walks over to my car opens the passenger door and gets in. "Were they arguing again?" I ask as he closes the door. He nods his head and puts on his seatbelt. I begin to drive away.

After a silent drive, we reach my house. I park the car and we both go into my house and to my room. He takes out a pack of cigarettes and hands one to me. We both start smoking.

"I just don't understand why they don't accept me. Why they don't love me like they used to," said Sam, as he took a drag of his cigarette. "At least they loved you once," I say taking a drag of mine.

Sam laughs at that.

He sighs, "And they just keep arguing over stupid shit. The only thing they can agree on is that they hate who I became. My dad won't stop saying how he misses his little girl." Sam takes another drag of his cigarette. "He won't stop blaming my mom for letting me do this. My mom keeps arguing back over how it was my aunt's fault. And it's infuriating"

"It's a shame to not have supporting parents. Sometimes I wish mine get hit by a bus or something." I say laughing and taking another drag of my cigarette.

After a while of smoking and a bit of drinking, I called an Uber for Sam. My parents returned eventually. Just in time for dinner. How sad.

My grandmother had also arrived home.

While we ate it was dead silent the only sound being the cutlery clanking together. "So, how was school, Amelia?" asked my father his words cutting through the thick silence. "It was... good~?" says Amelia taking another bite of her food.

"Do you like your classes?" asks my mom her tone laced with fake interest. That Amelia couldn't spot.

"Yeah my classes are good I don't like biology or geometry and I think that ELA for first period is a horrible idea but I'll survive," she says taking another bite of her food.

"So Mom" starts my dad, addressing my grandmother. "Are you gonna keep Penny's room untouched, like the others?" he asks. My grandmother nods. "I just don't understand why you feel the need to do that. To preserve the rooms." says my dad.

My grandmother puts her utensils down looking at my father. "I'm preserving their childhood," she says. My father looks up at her. "Even Angelas?" he asks. My grandmother nods.

"But she's a disgrace to this family!" he scoffs. He puts his utensils down as well.

"I know she is but her stuff means a lot to my favorite grandchild." she gestures to me. My father glares at me. "How can he be anyone's favorite anything!? He's a mistake a worthless mistake that Anastasia should have aborted!" everyone stops what they were doing looking at my father. And then at me.

"I should have." stated my mother.

I felt a lump growing in my throat. "I'm going to my room," I say getting up. "You're not going anywhere! You will stay here and finish eating your food young man," he says firmly. I scoff "No," I say walking away.

"Such an attitude, me and your mother did not raise you-" my dad starts but I cut him off "You're right you didn't raise me, Angela and grandma did. And they did a great job. I simply am giving attitude to you because I don't give a fuck about the opinion of two neglectful individuals such as yourselves. I hope you both die brutally and slowly." I then stormed off upstairs to my room. Closing and locking the door behind me.

I lean back against the door sliding down it. What did I ever do to them for them to not love me? I wish Angela was still here. She would know how to cheat me up.
