Exams kept me occupied until the 18th of May, the day I would graduate from veterinary school and officially become a Vet. Logan had plans for my birthday weekend on May 8-10. They weren't anything extravagant, but they were thoughtful and perfect for me. The plans were a surprise, and I had no idea where we were going, but I trusted him and packed accordingly. Logan rented out our house next to Nanny and Pop's in Bishopton. Ollie and Ali, along with Andy and Rachel, were next door.
On the day of the surprise, Logan picked me up, and we headed to Nanny and Pop's house. "When will you tell me where we are going?" I asked with curiosity.
"Soon. I want the surprise to be kept," he replied with a smirk.
After a beautiful and enjoyable 4-hour drive, we arrived in Bishopton. Sean and his family were taking care of the dogs for the weekend, providing us with updates now and then.
My obsession with Santorini began after watching Mamma Mia, and Logan, being the attentive partner he is, arranged for us to spend a few days there. Although Logan had to train every day, he managed to take a few days off for my birthday.
As we finally got on the plane and settled in with snacks, everyone was ready to go. The flight was about 4 hours, and Logan and I managed to watch two movies. When we landed, he finally let me look out the window, and I saw Greece! I couldn't help but kiss him, overjoyed that he knew me so well. My excitement for Santorini was all I could talk about.
Driving to our houses on a private part of the island, I ran out of the car to see the breathtaking view. Our houses were right on the beach, with porches facing both the sunset and sunrise. I couldn't wait for the next three days.
After checking the houses and falling in love with them, we got ready for dinner and decided to stay in. "I'm tired, Logan," I yawned. "Can we just meet the family here?"
"Of course, we can!" he replied, not wanting to go out either. "I'll text them right now. You go change." He smiled at me. "Thank you, Logan."
About 30 minutes later, the family gathered at our house, and we ordered different kinds of pizza. I loved watching movies and eating pizza with my family; it was my favorite thing to do.
Logan and Donnie later went outside to talk, while Nanny, Shannon, Pop, and I were making dessert and popcorn. Andy and the rest of the family were already seated, ready to watch movies. We had no idea what Logan and Donnie were talking about but assumed it had to do with Logan's nerves regarding the Champions League.
They came back in, laughing and joking. We all sat down on the couches and watched Sweet Home Alabama, my comfort movie that reminded me of Shannon, who is from the south.
After watching about three more movies, we decided to call it a night since the next days were going to be long. "Goodnight, everyone. I love you," I said as the family walked back to their houses. "Goodnight, everyone. Sleep well," Logan added, hugging Nanny. They all left, and we went to bed, looking forward to the adventures the next days would bring.
