Prologue

You see when Shinsou first got his quirk Brainwashing, his parents immediately disowned him.

So to keep 'him safe' he was put into foster care. But in reality the orphanage didn't want another 'villain' as they already had enough.

He'd lost count of how many families he'd been to.

That didn't scare him.

What scared him was...Shinsou didn't know what a normal family life was like, what rules were normal, how often meals were given out...

Would a normal family make him wear a muzzle at home?

Hitoshi recently been put back into the foster system and been chucked at another foster family.

He didn't know their names and didn't both to learn. After the first five foster families, names became irrelevant.

He normally was forbidden to speak unless spoken to (was that normal?).

Normally, he'd last 2 weeks to a month with a family, but this one just broke him.

Five days...

He wanted a loving family.

Hitoshi wasn't sure what broke him.. he had what he thought were normal rules here.

Wear a muzzle at all times at home, unless told not to.

If you are able to speak, do not speak unless spoken to.

No quirk usage.

At 7pm go straight to your room no matter what and have door locked from outside.

No leaving your room unless told to.

No eating anything unless made yourself.

No making food unless told to.

Wake up at 5am and be ready 5:15 in your room.

If you are home a minute after 3:25pm (UA) expect punishment,

No crying or screaming in pain during a punishment.

Never fight back during a punishment, you always deserve it.

You know, the 'normal rules'

However, somehting in Hitoshi snapped.

He shouldn't live like this....

Maybe after mentoring under Aizawa...he'd learnt that he deserved a good life.

Maybe after that one stormy night where Shinsou had to stay over with Aizawa and Mic...he'd realised maybe what he was going through wasn't right.

So five days after moving in with his latest foster family. He ran off.

And obviously it was on the most stormiest, coldest night of the year.

So he bundled up wearing a few layers of clothes and his capture scarf from Aizawa. Pulled in some fingerless gloves and grabbed his phone. Pushed open window open with great difficulty. Swung his bag on and adventured out into the night.
