"I hate him." Amanda says as we watch Jason talk to another girl. "You hate him because he's talking to probably a friend?" I ask. "She special." Chelsea says taking a bite of her sand which. I laugh and stand up to dump out my tray. As soon as I stand up, I'm instantly knocked over. My best friends looked at me. "Yo watch out man." A boy says. My vision was blurry. "Whoa my bad. You a female." He says. I try to glance at him. It was Mason. He helped me to my feet. "My bad ma." He says holding onto my hips. Why were you running idiot. "Its fine honestly." I say. "I'll see you around." He says. "Maybe we can talk later. I'll make up to you for knocking you over." He says. I agree. He walks away with swagger in his walk. "Best friend. Oh my God best friend! You just talked to the baddest bad boy in school. That's a legendary bad boy. Every family member before him was bad." Amanda says. "Yeah! I hear he's the baddest out the bunch." Chelsea says. "So I could've just gotten a blow to the head and Yall are worried about me talking to some bad boy?" I ask aggravated. "Well yeah! He doesn't talk to people like us." Chelsea says. "Plus him and Jason are best friends." Amanda chimes in. Me and Chelsea roll our eyes. "C'mon! You can't say you didn't enjoy talking to him." Amanda says. "I didn't enjoy talking to him." I say. Amanda's jaw dropped. "You shoulda put money on it." Chelsea says. I snap my finger. "Awe man." I say imitating swiper the fox. "C'mon. We've gotta get to class." Chelsea says. We agreed and we all headed to class. For the rest of day I kept thinking about Mason. The way he accidentally bumped into me and now how we might accidentally become friends. But then again we might not because Mason is popular and I'm not. He's cute and I'm me. He's bad and I'm bad at being bad. He's been with so many girls he can't even count them. "Thinkin about him?" Amanda whispered in my ear in math class. "Maybe." I smirk. "Oooohhhhh." Amanda says. "Amanda is there a reason why you are talking in my class." The teacher asked. "Actually. Yes. I was asking my best friend Rebecca here for a pencil." Amanda lies. I agree though trying not to get us trouble. I instantly start sweating. I smile at her to back up my lie. "Regardless I tell you all the time to stop talking in my class. You have lunch detention tomorrow. The next time you all talk in my class, I'm moving you and it's not gonna be pretty point blank period." Our teacher says. She hands us our lunch detention slips and we sigh. She gets back to the lesson. Amanda then hands me a note. I open it and read it.
Low-key, I really need a pencil please if you don't mind which I knew you don't.
I sighed and handed her a pencil. "Thanks Bestfrann." She says. I fake a smile and continue on with what I was doing.
