Chapter 6

I stared at Mason as we stood outside his house. I was still not able to believe what he just told me. "So that's it." I snap. He just continues look at the ground. I push him. "YOURE GETTING SUSPENDED FOR SEXUAL HARASSMENT!" I yell causing everyone to look at us. He looked up at me and grabbed me by my shoulders. "Let go of me!" I whined. Next thing I know, his lips are smashed against mines. "Chill." He says as my eyes are still closed from the rush. The kiss replayed on repeat in my mind. I then came back to reality. "You're getting wrote up for sexual harassment though." I say. "It wasn't me! The two girls lied on me!" He insisted. I rolled my eyes. "You don't believe me?" He asks. I just stare at him with my arms folded across my chest. "When will you return to school." I ask curious. "Next week. Next Wednesday." He says. I look up at him. "I'll call you everyday you get on the bus." He says. I nod my head. "The kiss." I say. He raises an eyebrow and chuckle. "What about it?" He asks. "Why? What was that for?" I ask remembering the kiss. "Because I like you. And ummm, I really wanted to kiss you. Badly. " He says. I giggle a little. "So you do have a soft side?" I joke. "Everybody has a soft and hard side." He says. "Did k say that right?" He asks. I giggle and sigh. "Okay Mason. I'll see you tomorrow." I say as I see my mom pull up. I give him one last hug and he kisses my nose so my mom wouldn't see. "Bye Rebecca." He mumbles to me. "Bye Mason." I answer pulling out of the hug. He walked me to the car and opened the door for me. "Hi!" He says to my mom. My mom waves and smiles. I smile at Mason as he closes my door. We wave goodbye and my mom pulls off. "So who is he. Boyfriend?" She asks. I stare at her. "Mommy." I whine. "What? I'm just asking Rebecca." She says. "No ma'am. He's not my boyfriend." I say. She looks at me and raises and eyebrow. I throw my hands up in defense as I look at my mom. She smiles and we continue to drive home. As soon as I got in, I ran upstairs to call my friends. "Hello?" Amanda answers as if she were sleeping. "Hey!" I say. "Lemme add Chelsea." I say. I add Chelsea to the call and Chelsea answers with energy. "Hey my bffs!" She says. "Hey!" "Sup." "So you guys won't believe what happened." I say playing with my feet. "What?" Chelsea says. "I went to Masons house after school and he kissed me in the middle of me yelling at him!" I yell. "Whelp. You got that right. I don't believe you not one little bit." Amanda says. I suck my teeth at her. "Shut up Amanda. But yay for Rebecca! How'd it feel?" She asked. "It felt amazing." She said. We heard Amanda groan and I giggled. "Was it magical?" "Yes." "Did you kiss back? Tell me you kissed him back." "Of course I kissed back Chelsea." We giggled. "Guys. Like really. Can yall talk about this later?" Amanda complains. "Sure. I've gotta go anyways." I say slipping into my pajamas. "Me too." Chelsea says. "See. It works out. Goodnight guys! Talk to all of you later." Amanda says. "Bye!" "Adios!" And with that, we all ended the call and hung up. I laid down thinking and dreaming about Mason once again.
