As the sun dipped below the horizon, the sky and water were bathed in a warm orange glow. We stood by the river, the fading light turning our faces a similar hue. It was a stunning view of the setting sun painting the water with its final rays.

We sat on a pair of rocks, side by side, watching the sun's slow descent. With the sunset came a chill in the air that made my skin prickle. The river, vibrant and colorful by day, now surrendered to the encroaching darkness, illuminated only by the pale moonlight. To our surprise, tiny fireflies emerged, their gentle light twinkling around us.

I was mesmerized by the scene, the delicate firefly glow making the river's nighttime beauty even more enchanting. In awe, I raised a hand to catch the fireflies that flitted close by while remaining seated on the rock.

Lost in the moment, I was abruptly brought back to reality when Third spoke beside me.

"Tsk! You're acting like a child." he said, causing me to turn toward him.

Despite the darkness, the moonlight and the fireflies' glow made his face visible, revealing his undeniable charm even in the dim light.

"Do you have to comment on everything?"

"Whatever." he replied with a small, amused laugh.

I rubbed my arms to warm up before continuing, "So you do know how to laugh?"

"Of course. Anong akala mo sakin?"

"You always seem to frown. I only ever see you smile when you're with your friends."

"This is only the second time you've seen me. How do you know I always frown?"

His comment caught me off guard, leaving me momentarily speechless. I suddenly realized that this was just our second time together. Perhaps the bond we were forming made it feel like we had known each other much longer.

"You're quite judgmental." he said abruptly, causing me to frown.

"Hoi!" I pointed at him, at a loss for words.

He laughed again, shook his head, and stood up. "Let's go."

I looked at him, puzzled. "Where to?"

"Home, of course. Do you want to stay here? Because I'm leaving."

I immediately stood up. "I'm going home!" I glanced around anxiously.

"Tsk."

He started walking away from me. Before he could get too far, I hurried after him and matched his pace. As we reached the road, I abruptly changed direction, surprising him.

"Hey! Where are you going?"

I looked back at him, puzzled. "To my car."

His brows knitted in confusion before he understood and nodded. Seeing his agreement, I hurried to my car and got in quickly due to the cold.

Just as I was about to start the engine, a car suddenly appeared in front of me and stopped. A jolt of fear ran through me, wondering if something bad was about to happen. But the fear quickly faded when Third emerged from the car.

I rolled down my window, and he peered in with a curious expression. "Why?"

"Start driving. I'll follow behind."

His request puzzled me further. "Why?"

"Just go. I'll follow from the rear." he said, irritation evident in his voice.
