_Aarav's Morning_
Aarav woke to the sound of his mother, Nalini, chanting prayers in the puja room. The warmth of the heater and the fragrance of sandalwood incense filled their cozy flat, nestled in the Himalayan foothills. He stretched, yawned, and got out of bed.
In the kitchen, his mother expertly prepared breakfast – steaming hot parathas, gajar ka halwa (carrot pudding), and a cup of spicy chai to ward off the chill.
Aarav wore his favorite woolen sweater and jeans, layered under a warm fleece jacket. His sister, Diya, wore a bright pink sweater and leggings, her hair tied in a ponytail.
Their father, Rajesh, walked into the kitchen, sipping his morning chai. "What's the plan for today, kids?"
Aarav replied, "I have classes, Papa. And I need to study for my exams."
Rajesh nodded. "Focus on your studies, beta. And don't forget to pick up Diya from her skating lessons this evening."
Nalini added, "Aarav, wear your scarf and gloves; it's snowing heavily outside."
Aarav smiled, "I will, Maa."
As they finished breakfast, Aarav glanced out the window. The snow-covered peaks glistened in the morning light, and the town was bathed in a serene silence.
With a quick goodbye, Aarav headed out the door.
Aarav parked his bike and removed his helmet, running a hand through his messy hair. As he turned to lock his bike, he saw Vedika walking through the university gates.
Their eyes met, and time froze. The snow-capped mountains, the bustling students, everything faded into the background. Aarav felt an inexplicable connection, a sense of familiarity.
But Vedika broke the spell, rolling her eyes and striding away.
Aarav thought, "No, she can't be the same girl. Too arrogant." He shook his head and started walking towards his class.
Vedika, however, felt a shiver run down her spine. She turned around, her eyes narrowing. "Why are you following me?" she demanded.
Aarav stopped, taken aback. "I'm not following you. We're in the same class, actually."
Vedika's expression changed from annoyance to surprise. "Oh...oh no!" She covered her mouth, her eyes wide.
Aarav chuckled. "Forgot, huh?"
Vedika playfully hit his arm. "Shut up! I was distracted."
Their classmates passed by, curious glances at the pair.
Aarav grinned. "Distracted by what?"
Vedika's cheeks flushed. "None of your business."
Their banter continued until they reached the classroom door.
"Truce?" Aarav asked, holding open the door.
Vedika smiled. "Truce."
As they entered the classroom together, Aarav realized his initial impression was wrong. This "arrogant" girl was actually witty and charming.
Professor Joshi walked into the classroom, accompanied by a stunning girl with long, curly hair and a bright smile. "Good morning, class," he said. "I'd like you to welcome our new student, Gusarika Chouhan."
Gusarika's charm captivated the room. Boys stared, and some girls admired her elegance. "Hi everyone," she said confidently. "I'm excited to join this university."
Aarav stood up, shaking Gusarika's hand. "Welcome to our class, Gusarika. Long time no see."
Gusarika smiled. "Aarav! I didn't know you were here."
