William complained as Vincent dragged him out of their house, bringing them into the diamond-like front yard; in reality, it was full of snow. "Vincent.. can I just go back to bed?.."
Vincent surveyed the new snowfall before turning back to him, "You're going to get bedridden one of these days, y'know?" He grinned, straddling his husband's waist as he kissed the back of his head. "It's winter now cupcake, just enjoy it instead."
William whined again, struggling in Vincent's arms as he huffed in vexation. "No. Let me go back." He snapped, continuously writhing out of his grasp.
Vincent captured his small body, blocking him from running back into the house. "Isn't the snow beautiful though?" He spoke with a serene smile, glancing around the backdrop. Watching as the snowflakes fell to carve the wayward of their house's cobblestone path. The way the ivory snow glistened and sparkled under the sun's weakened heat. The way it declined onto his husband's pretty, yet exasperated face.
Vincent bent down to the ground; of course keeping a firm drape around William's body, with a soft clutch, he clasped a handful of the fluorescent snow. It was like powder in his mittens, droplets of the crystalline water dribbling back to its original position. He had an abrupt, impulsive urge to pour it on his husband's head, however it appeared that William already had snowflakes covering his eyelashes and nose.
He sneezed, gripping Vincent's jacket. "Can I go inside already.." He whimpered, trying to get past him.
Vincent grinned, running a hand through William's black locks, brushing out the various pieces of snow covering it. "Alr', alr'. What about a warm bath, cupcake?" He curled his arm around his sylphlike waist, which in return caused William to wrap his legs around Vincent's stomach.
"Mhm.." William stretched in his powerful arms, blinking away the snowflakes from his long lashes.
