Twenty Minutes Earlier
Rin's POV
We were playing hide and seek with kage bunshins. We would take turns, and if the searcher managed to find all of the kage bunshin hiders, than it was a victory.
I laughed as I ran through the forest. One of Sasuke's clones were chasing me. I was the last "clone" hider, so I couldn't be caught or else I would lose. The clone chasing me throws a shuriken and I duck to the right but then I crash into something soft, another clone?! I yelp and I run faster. Suddenly from an over hanging branch, another Sasuke with a childish smirk drops down in front of me. I skid backwards but then I feel arms wrap around me. A terrified squeal escapes out of me and Sasuke laughs as I struggle.
The other clones disappear and Sasuke says victoriously, "I win eight out of ten rounds."
I laugh and then I frown. Sasuke's skin is really hot, hot even for someone who spent the last hours running around in the forest. "Onii-san your skin is burning," I say quietly
Sasuke laughs lightly, "We spent hours playing in the forest, Rin. Of course we're all hot and sweaty."
I spin around and put a hand on Onii-san's forhead, his forhead burned almost painfully and I noticed that his cheeks were a dreadful red hue. I knew it, Sasuke should have never sparred so intensely with Itachi and I cursed my two brothers.
Sasuke, for his power hungry idiocy that led him to get to this state.
Itachi, for his unique way of training. Was he in a bad mood? Itachi was usually so gentle. Although I don't particularly mind, I was shocked that Itachi pulled his grand fireball on me. Moreover, he usually wasn't so willing to spar with Sasuke for such a prolonged time. Was there something going on?
Then I hit a conclusion that I immediately agreed upon, father. Of course, father was always disappointed in Sasuke and I, even more at me. He would force Itachi to train us harshly, that would supposedly make us stronger (if we didn't get torn apart first) and help erode away Itachi's gentle nature towards us. I really dislike my father sometimes...no... All the time. I can't remember a single good memory from him.
"Sasuke you're running a fever," I said stonily, "why didn't you stop sparring? Now you're sick. Let's go home to get some medicine." I turn around but a hand catches my arm.
"I'm fine, Rin," says Sasuke with a smirk, but even his smile was weak. Sasuke coughed and I scowled.
"No you're not!" I finally shout, "Why did you have to spar? And Itachi was so harsh today! We are going home right now!"
Sasuke's eyes harden and he shouts back, "What?! You think I'm weak like that? I'm not going to let a little fever drag me down."
"It's also weakness to ignore your body's needs until you collapse," I say curtly, "come one, Sasuke, we can play a little later after you rest."
Sasuke set his jaw, "I, am, not, weak."
I bite back a sharp exclamation and I sigh in resignment, "One spar," I say steadily, "just one, okay? Then we'll go back home. First one to draw blood is winner."
Sasuke smirks at my defeat in the quarrel and he says, "A taijutsu spar. We can only use henge and kage bunshin jutsu. If we could've done more jutsu then you'll cheat using your own special Kekkai Genkei."
