/So, face reveal. Amy, little sister Kara, Janet, Jeremy, and her uncle Victor. There will be more face reveals later on. Okay enjoy this chapter. :)/

When I walked outside I sat on the stone benches that line the walkway into the old high school. There is still some snow from last night sticking to the ground. Setting my stuff down so my arms at least feel better, I pull my sleeves down and rub my cold hands together.

I wait for another good ten minutes before standing up and walking over to the snow. Looking down the streets I see no one, so I bend down and make a snowball. The white isn't pristine and there are some blades of dead grass in it but I don't mind.

I take a final look around before whispering "Delicata Fol Sevradelc." and twirling my finger around and around the snowball becomes a crystallized ball. Then looking around once more I breath on it and my breath turns each frost branch a different color.

I smile and marvel at my wondrous creation. The pleasure starts on my spine and trickles down spreading warmth throughout my body. I moan quietly and bring the colorful ball back to where I was sitting.

Sitting down, my thoughts start wondering off, and when you've had as much tragic in your life as me that's never good. All at once my memories flood from where I keep them in the back of my mind.

My mother reading a book to me, holding Kara for the first time. My uncle laughing as I miss pronounce a vowel, the funeral. My uncle crying, hugging me as we said goodbye. Tears threatened to fall as the assault continued.

My father teaching me how to ride a horse, his shock in finding out I was a witch. My family going camping the heat of fire, and innocent smiles and the hope that it would all last. The hope it would never change, the despair when it did.

Arriving at Columbia Falls, hating the cold. Hating everyone and everything because my family was dead. I was so mean to Jeremy and Janet, it makes me want to run into the school and hug him.

"Ugh, okay no more sob story feelings, welcome tough I'm-gonna-kick-your-ass-if-you-mess-with-me-feelings." I put my fingers to my temples "I really need to stop talking to myself."

I sigh, if this wasn't a geek school I was transferring to I would almost almost, say I was nervous. But, I can't be nervous right? I'm like the queen of trouble making.

The screeching of brakes alerts me Janet is here, so I stand up with my stuff and walk over there. Once I'm in the front seat and buckled, Janet hugs me. "I'm so proud your doing this without a fight, I promise it's what's best." Her smile is so big I don't want to shatter her hope, so I smile a little and say "Yeah, I'm sure.".

With that we set off to AHT which is on the other side of Of our house. You see, our house is in the middle of both schools on the outskirts of town.

Once we pulled up to the looming modern geek school, I unbuckled. Hopefully this won't suck as bad as I think it will.

We walk into the school and stare in wonder everything is so sleek and shiny. I look to Janet for encouragement and walk with her to the office. The male behind the counter appeared to be middle aged, with slightly greying hair that once held a light brown.

He looked up with an unamused smile, "Hello, what business do you have at Advanced Honors Tribule?" Janet smiled proudly leaving me the only one feeling nervous. "We are here to sign my daughter in. She's being transferred here."

He took one look at my clothes and said "There might be a mistake in paperwork, what's your name?" Janet smiled oblivious to the fact that he had just underhandedly insulted me. I gritted my teeth, "Hazel Zydre. I hope but doubt there's been a mistake."
