How do you write a book that appeals to all audiences? Is such an endeavor even possible? As a parent, I have often struggled with what words to use, to help my child to understand the world that he was born into. When they are very young, a little one may hang on their parent's every word. It is not easy for a young child to distinguish between fantasy and reality. I believe parents are responsible for this mindset in their children.

I don't say this as a criticism. I think parents and guardians may have very good reasons for allowing their children to enjoy their innocence for as long as possible. As a parent, I want my child to enjoy his childhood. After all, you're only young once. I think any loving parent would want that for their own little ones.

That being said, not everyone has a child. Some by choice, others by circumstance. Some embrace marriage. Others can't imagine being married. There are people in this world who are looking for connection. Still, others just want to be left alone.

Some people are optimists, while another may favor a pessimistic outlook. There are people who believe in a higher power. They might call it God or the universe.

Then there are those who believe in only what they can see or perceive through science or visible evidence. Others don't know what to believe. Then there is the Nihilist. Some people may think a nihilist has given up on life. However, I prefer to think of them as open to new possibilities.

With so many potential world views, and perceptions, how could anyone write a book that can appeal to everyone regardless of background or interest?

I would imagine you would need to find a topic that affects everyone. That may be easier said than done. After all, we live in a world that is not only diverse, but is increasingly polarized. Finding common ground with another person may seem challenging. Finding common ground with everyone else must seem impossible. Like a young child, many today cannot even agree on what is actually real.

In the past, people argued over religion, and political views. What was the best product to use? Who had the best sports team? Today, reality itself is up for debate.

What matters to one person, may not even exist in the mind of someone else. How on earth do you find common ground in our modern world? I do not know if such a task is possible, but whoever you are, whatever you believe, and whether or not you care, I am writing this book with you in mind.

I'm not asking you to agree with me, or anyone else. I only ask that you hear me out. If nothing else, you have an opportunity to prove me wrong. I challenge you to read this entire book and see if I can achieve my goal of writing a book that can appeal to everyone.

If I fail, you can gloat all you like, but if I succeed, then we will both have found out the answer to the first question I asked. I for one, am very interested in knowing, one way or another.

Oh! There is one thing you should know though. This is not your conventional story. It is a bit back to front, if you get my drift. I have a very good reason for this method of storytelling. My reasons will become clear in time. For now, we will begin where we are, at the end of our story. So, if I have peeked your interest, turn the page.
