The air in Natasha’s room crackled with tension. Rajvir and Veer stood on opposite ends, both dangerous and unyielding forces. The oppressive weight of their power pressed down on her like a storm about to break. Natasha’s mind raced as she tried to make sense of the chaos swirling around her, her heart aching with fear, confusion, and the desire she couldn’t deny.
"You think you’re helping her?" Rajvir’s voice was sharp, his anger barely contained as he glared at Veer. "You’re only pushing her toward destruction."
Veer smiled darkly, unaffected by Rajvir’s fury. "The only destruction here is you. You refuse to see the danger you bring into her life. You’re blind, Rajvir. Blinded by your obsession with her."
Rajvir’s eyes burned with intensity, but he took a step toward Natasha, his expression softening as he looked at her. "Natasha, you don’t need to listen to him. I can take you far away from all of this. We can leave everything behind, escape the forces that are coming. I’ll protect you."
Before Natasha could respond, the room was suddenly engulfed in an icy gust of wind. The temperature plummeted, and the lights flickered violently. A low, ominous growl echoed through the air, making the hairs on Natasha’s arms stand on end. She instinctively moved closer to Rajvir, her breath hitching as the darkness around them deepened.
Out of the shadows, two figures emerged.
One was a tall woman with raven-black hair that cascaded down her back like a waterfall, her eyes glowing a sinister red. She was draped in a shimmering dark gown, her presence exuding raw power. The other figure was a towering man, his body wrapped in ancient, silver-plated armor, his eyes burning with a ferocious light. He held a sword in one hand, the blade humming with an energy that made the ground tremble.
Veer’s gaze sharpened. "Well, well. It seems the guardians of the realms have arrived."
Rajvir’s face darkened. "Natasha, stay behind me."
The woman stepped forward, her gaze fixed on Natasha, her voice dripping with authority. "You, girl, are the cause of the disturbance. You’ve linked yourself to Rajvir, the ruler of a cursed kingdom, and your bond threatens to tear open the barrier between our worlds."
Natasha’s chest tightened as the woman’s words sunk in. "I didn’t mean to. I didn’t know…"
"It doesn’t matter what you meant," the armored man spoke, his voice booming through the room. "What matters is that this bond is an abomination. If left unchecked, it will unravel the balance between realms. You must sever it, or we will be forced to intervene."
Rajvir growled, his body shifting slightly, as if he was readying himself for a fight. "You won’t touch her. She’s mine."
The woman sneered. "Possession? How quaint. But this is beyond you, Rajvir. Your obsession with her has made you weak. You no longer have control over the powers at play."
Natasha’s head was spinning, her mind struggling to keep up with the intensity of the situation. Everything was happening so fast—Veer’s cold logic, the sudden appearance of these terrifying figures, and Rajvir’s growing desperation. She could feel the weight of everyone’s expectations crushing down on her.
The woman’s gaze flickered to Natasha. "You have a choice, child. Sever the bond and save your world. Or cling to him and watch everything you love burn."
Natasha’s heart pounded in her chest as the gravity of her decision loomed over her. She glanced at Rajvir, his eyes locked on hers, filled with something raw and deep—an emotion she had never seen before. She could feel the magnetic pull between them, the undeniable connection that had drawn them together. But now, that connection felt like a double-edged sword.
Before she could say anything, a powerful wave of energy exploded through the room, knocking everyone off balance. Natasha stumbled, her vision blurring as the ground beneath her feet seemed to ripple. The air buzzed with electricity, and a deafening roar echoed through the night.
The guardians staggered, momentarily thrown off by the blast. Rajvir took the opportunity, grabbing Natasha’s hand and pulling her toward him.
"We’re leaving," he growled, his voice low and urgent.
"Rajvir, wait—"
But before she could protest, Rajvir swept her into his arms, and the world around them dissolved into a blur of shadows and wind. Natasha’s heart raced as they were whisked away, her body pressed tightly against his. The sensation of his touch, the warmth of his skin, sent a rush of heat through her, despite the chaos surrounding them.
They landed abruptly in a dark, secluded forest, far from the prying eyes of the guardians. The moonlight filtered through the trees, casting an eerie glow on the scene. Natasha’s legs trembled as Rajvir set her down, her mind still reeling from the sudden turn of events.
"Rajvir, what are you doing?" she demanded, stepping back from him.
His eyes locked onto hers, fierce and determined. "I’m saving you, Natasha. I told you I wouldn’t let them take you from me."
"But at what cost?" she whispered, her voice shaking. "You can’t keep running from this. The bond is dangerous, and we’re out of time. They’ll find us again. And next time, we might not get away."
Rajvir stepped closer, his hand reaching out to gently cradle her face. The intensity in his eyes softened, and for a moment, all the tension between them seemed to melt away. "I don’t care about the cost. I can’t lose you, Natasha."
Her breath hitched, her heart pounding against her ribcage as his thumb brushed against her cheek. The closeness between them was intoxicating, a magnetic pull that made it impossible for her to step away.
"I don’t want to lose you either," she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. "But I’m scared, Rajvir. I don’t know what’s going to happen. I don’t know if I can handle all of this."
Rajvir’s hand slid down to her waist, pulling her against him. His breath was warm on her skin as he leaned closer, his lips hovering just inches from hers. "You’re stronger than you think. I’ve seen it. You’ve faced every challenge, every danger, without backing down."
Natasha’s heart pounded in her chest, the world around them fading into the background. All she could see, all she could feel, was Rajvir. His presence was overwhelming, a storm that threatened to consume her, and yet… she wanted it. She needed it.
Slowly, she tilted her head up, her lips brushing against his in the faintest touch. It was like a spark igniting a fire, a rush of heat that spread through her body, consuming every doubt, every fear. Rajvir responded instantly, his lips capturing hers with a hunger that made her knees weak. His arms tightened around her, pulling her even closer, as if he couldn’t bear the thought of letting her go.
In that moment, all the chaos, all the danger, melted away. There was only Rajvir, his warmth, his strength, and the overwhelming connection that bound them together.
Whatever the future held, whatever dangers awaited them, Natasha knew one thing for sure: she couldn’t walk away from this. From him.
Their fate was sealed, for better or worse.
