Author's POV

Ava was struggling against the guard as he pulled her out of her car, which had been ambushed. "Miss, you need to go back home," he said, though his grip on her arm was anything but gentle. She was shoved into the back seat as the driver began to reverse. "What are you doing?!" she shouted, trying to call Tyson, but the call wouldn't go through.

As they neared Tyson's mansion, her anger boiled over. When the car finally stopped, she refused to get out, but was forcibly dragged from the car and taken to her room. The guard confiscated her phone, and she protested, insisting she had plans with her friends and would tell her brother about this. Locked in her room, she saw a small hole in the door for food trays, and glared at the guard.

"Orders from Mr. Machiavelli, Miss," he stated. Confused, she demanded to know why her father would do this.
The guard replied, "It's Sir Tyson, ma'am," causing her heart to sink. Did her brother know?
"Did he give you a reason?" she asked, but the guard's robotic replies only fueled her frustration.

Feeling utterly powerless, she rushed to her laptop to message her friends, only to find the group was filled with angry texts: "You rich scum! Why would you keep us waiting and not show up?!"

"What does she think we are?"

"This is exactly what I meant when I said she can't be one of us."

Those words hit her hard as she desperately wanted to fit in.

She sighed and continued scrolling.

I'll be a bit late, guys. The reservation is under my name, she quickly typed.

"Oh, sorry, we were just a bit paranoid," came a reply from one of them, not even bothering to ask if she was still coming.

They complimented her a little, and the group seemed to settle down.

She checked her email and saw that the money had been refunded and the hotel reservation was canceled.

When she tried to upload her card, she found it was blocked.

Tears streamed down her face as panic set in, leaving her unsure of how to reach Tyson.

Now she felt she would lose her friends, and it was all that woman's fault.

She felt guilty realizing her mother had killed Val's baby, but now she was fueled with anger.

She pounded on the door until she could no longer manage.

Meanwhile, the guard informed Nathan that he had followed through with his orders.

"Good, ensure she doesn't harm herself. She's unpredictable," Nathan instructed.

Nathan stood there, watching the time tick away.

He just needed Snr Machiavelli to leave the warehouse so he could get Remie.

After a few more minutes, he finally stepped outside.

He signaled to the men, and they quickly moved in, spraying something that caused the guards to collapse.

He dashed inside, a few men shielding him.

What he encountered, however, sent chills down his spine. The man was a psychopath.

Remie lay there, naked and unconscious. A bloodied tongue rested in her palms, and blood oozed from her mouth.

And from the way  she  appeared she was brutally raped as there was dried blood on her lower body.

He took a quick picture and sent it to the number his boss gave him.

"Sir what should we do??",a guard asked
