His Queen

Joined as One (Part I)

Finally, after few chapters, here we are! I have not been able to continue writing for days since I got busy with work. But here we are now so let us enjoy their moment and let's celebrate with them:)

Few days have passed since the successful thanksgiving feast and the tension-filled leaders' conference, the day most of the empire dukes and lords, including the Hidden Leaf council and the villagers have finally arrived-the marriage between you and Tobirama. The chosen venue for the event is the Hidden Leaf Village itself. Your parents agreed at the arrangements made by the Hokage himself. Though there will be another celebration to be done at the empire palace afterwards. The whole village are there to celebrate the special day between their future Hokage and the future empire queen. The people were pleased to know that their village will be joined with the empire through this marriage. The streets were decorated with flowers of different kinds. The whole place almost look like spring where flowers begin to bloom and the atmosphere is gleaming in kaleidoscope making every villager astounded with joy. Even the children wandered happily at the scenery of the village.

You woke up early that morning for the early preparations. Your assistant Kira and two other maids helped you from preparing the clothes you will wear to helping you with your hair and make up. Your parents, together with Lord Hashirama and Mito forbids you to go out the room and be seen by your groom, not until both of you are already at the place where the ceremony will be done. That was a part of their beliefs and also, the empire shares the same ideology when it comes to marriage. You felt so nervous that you can't even speak nor smile properly while the maids and Kira became so busy with your looks. Now you began thinking what will Tobirama look like at the ceremony, with that thought, a tiny smile flashed on your face. The two maids looked at each other wondering what you were thinking. You saw Kira's reflection at the mirror, she was smiling. You let out a deep and loud sigh, not because you are terribly nervous but for a reason you want to have this day end well without embarrassing yourself in front of all the guests and village people who will be there at the ceremony. 

After  few moments, the door sprung open as your mother and father went to see how are things going on your preparation. Your parents' eyes went teary when they saw you looking beautiful on your dress, your father almost sobs. His image right now makes you feel so loved. "I can't believe my princess is marrying someone already," he said in between his sobs. "It feels like it was yesterday you were still so young."

You chuckled softly,"Father, this wedding is your will, remember?" 

"I know but it is happening so fast, I cant even imagine."

"Dear, let's just be happy for our child. She is all grown up now. Besides, her soon to be husband is a good and noble man. I truly believe he will make our daughter happy," your mother said consoling your father. Few more minutes have passed and your conversation ended as they are about to go at the venue. Almost an hour have passed and you are finally done with your wedding look. Upon looking at the mirror, you almost cannot believe the reflection of yourself. You look elegant and stunning. Your assistant and your maids did an amazing work on you. They escorted you out of the room to the mansion veranda where the carriage is waiting. There are few royal guards with some Leaf shinobis waiting for you. The wedding venue is just few blocks from the Senju mansion, you can already see the site was filled with flowers all around, guests and the village people started to occupy the place, 'Now I feel nervous, I should have eaten my breakfast when I had time,' you thought. The carriage moved, and you felt so much emotions running through your veins.

Tobirama's POV

All your life you have not felt nervous as you are feeling right now. You are certain that this marriage and this ceremony just signify closer ties between the empire and the Leaf. However, during the princess' stay in your place, you can't help but to admire her beliefs, her courage and her bravery towards leading her people. You can't help but to adore her beauty in every style she presents herself, and at this moment- your unification means being with each other for a lifetime. 

You are already standing at the altar waiting for her arrival. The major guests-the counts, the dukes, the Leaf elders and advisors, most of the shinobis who are not on post today and the villagers are all gathered to witness this day. You stand there quietly, your eyes looking from left and right as your brother seem to be more nervous than you. Mito tried to calm him down and he just smiled so awkwardly, you groaned a little just by looking at his facial expressions. 

"Will you please settle down, elder brother? Your making me nauseous," you said in a monotone voice. He stopped walking here and there then looked at you. 'Oh God, help me,' you uttered in silence as he stared at you-looking like he is gonna burst out crying. 

"Tobi, I can't believe my baby brother is marrying right now!"

"Shut it, elder brother. You look ridiculous. People are staring at you already, so please just calm down. It's my wedding, okay?" 

Finally, his mood looks better now. The carriage carrying the princess arrived at the entrance of the venue. Before they could open the carriage door, the guards and knights assembled, forming a line on the left and right of the center where your bride will walk down the aisle. The knights finally opened the door and the princess went out the carriage, assisted by her maids. She is wearing a white traditional imperial wedding dress with pink linings and Sakura flower details embroidery. Her hair is tied up in a bun, with few strands styled falling neatly on her face, making her look more beautiful. This is the first time you look at her long enough to see how gorgeous her face is, as for other days you were too busy with so many things. She even look so regal, the more you stare at her, the more you find yourself adoring her. She walks slowly to you, your gaze never left her for a bit. You gave her parents your greetings then stretched your hand out to take hers, you smiled at her and she looks confused, making you smile even more. Her hand feels cold so you gave it a gentle caress to calm her down then lead her to the altar where the presiding priest awaits. She finally smiled back at you. The priest began with the ceremony, most of the things he said are hard for you to absorb right now with the way you feel and with so many things also running through your mind. Before you know it, he is telling both of you to give your wedding vows. 

The ceremony went on as you still feel like everything is happening so fast, glancing at your bride beside you, you can already tell her mind is as blank as yours as she stares straight to the priest who is still talking of his sermon about marriage life which, you think, both of you cannot process right now. You can already feel her heavy breathing and you feel a little worried. 'Wait, what is this,' you thought. 

The priest requested both of you to face each other to give your wedding vows. She spoke first with a seemingly calm and composed voice delivering her vows slowly as she hold your hand to put the ring on your finger. You kinda like the feeling of hearing her words which somehow delighted you. Is this what brother felt at his wedding day too? She finished her speech and gave you a tiny smile. The corner of your eyes spotted Hashirama looking intently at both of you, with a slight grin in his face. What a tease! You composed yourself as it is already your turn to give your vows. You took a deep breath before speaking, "Your highness, Isabella Kline, I-Tobirama Senju, give you this ring as a symbol of my commitment and loyalty to you. I promise to be always at your side, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, till death do us part." Upon delivering the speech, you already knew what is next, you feel your heart pounding as the priest instructed you to lift your bride's veil and give her a kiss. It is so tempting to kiss her lips right at that moment, but you feel her getting more nervous so you lifted your hand and cupped her face, giving her right cheek an ample kiss and smiled at her. She smiled back looking relieved. You heard your brother groaned in disappointment that almost made you laugh, you can picture his pouting face already.

Note: What a long chapter! It took me three days to complete, hehe. I hope you enjoyed their wedding too:-)
